Paddy power have us 35/1 and 11/1 - only 3 teams with longer odds than us for promotion. Considering we finished 11th it seems a bit harsh?

Hahaha, it's like 2003/04 all over again! Thinking about it, I actually feel more comfortable without the expectation levels so high.

With the current manager/ squad I think it could be a bottom 6 finish. I think realistically City should be at least 100/1 for promotion.

I'm between the odds offered and your odds. I can foresee mid-table mediocrity again. Odds of 33/1 for promotion and 100/1 for the title are realistic.

I think the bookies know that we have an average manager who will be signing average players and an owner who is happy to see us sit mid table whilst balancing the books.

I certainly wont have any expectations of making the playoffs, I think we will be mid table all season long.

Can someone post our odds to be relegated?

It would make more sense to bet a tenner on relegation than promotion with Slade in charge.

I'd never make a bet like that but I do think it's much more likely.

6/1 for relegation. More likely to be nearer the bottom than the top of the table.

So we're more than four times more likely to be relegated than be champions. :laughing6:

And a shorter price to go down than to go up.

And last year the same was said about Bournemouth and Brentford. :bluescarf:

Let's be realistic, there was a gulf between us and Bournemouth & Brentford. They both played attractive, attacking football and both had very good managers. Based on the last 6 months we have paid dreadful football and have a clueless manager. Unless things change dramatically this season we will be in the bottom half of the table. Just hope that Slade brings in a bit of quality and not bargain basement purchases.
