I am going to be positive and say that if we beat Palace on Saturday then we are in with a massive shout to stay up :ayatollah:

Going down 2-0 so early was bitterly disappointing but the spirit the players showed to get back to 2-2 was brilliant.

Ole is slowly but surely winning me over, I like way he is not afraid to change the formation or personal to go for a result, he is quick acting and decisive and even though we didn't get all three points, he set us up to keep going at West Brom and we got our reward.

I will be honest, when the baggies got their third I thought that is it 'we are relegated' but the composure Daehli showed for the last gasp equaliser belied his years.

Our support was magnificent again on the road today and with a full house next week and make no bones we have to get 3 points and nothing else, if we do then we are in with a hell of a shout of pulling off the great escape.

Ole's reaction of wiping his brow in front of the a City support at the end was a sight and I think that despite some having doubts over his tactical ability, he is winning fans over with his honesty.
:bluescarf:

Let's give it everything we can next Saturday and if we get the result we want then possibly, just possibly, we can do it :ayatollah:

I think it will be difficult even if we beat palace as beating them still won't take us out of bottom 3 , then there is only 5 games to go. 2 of which at home and 1 being Chelsea and 3 away games that are very tricky :(

I've more or less accepted relegation , hope I'm wrong .

Hang on!!! He's winning you over !! So his team selection to start the game was correct was it ? It was like Swansea all over again, he got lucky today. Hopefully he realised he's tinkered with the team one to many times now......We can all see it but he can't

Anything is possible. What we should do is play our part and get behind Ole and the team and be the 12th man. If we then go down so be it. At least we played our part. I would hate to think in 20 years time that this was our only time in the premier and we didn't back the team because we hated the owner. Not that this is the case because the last two games we have be excellent. So contradicting myself a bit but you know what I mean

I think Ole is the right man to take us forward whatever league we are in. He also loves the fans and knows how must the club and blue means to us. If anybody can get in Tans ear about the blue it's him. Don't forget he is a member of man utd trust against their owners. Tan would hate it if he sees Ole bonding with the fans like Malky did and he wouldn't try to upset Ole like Malky because his son would play f##k

Carlos, I am not going to be positive or negative just honest.

We need a miracle and our defence needs sorting ASAP

We need 3/4 Wins from 6 remaining games and other teams to slip up.

Personally after todays result I think we need to start preparing for the Championship I would love to be proved wrong but I honestly cannot see where the points we need to stay up are going to come from .

Re: ' POSSIBLY, JUST POSSIBLY . . . . , '

Sat Mar 29, 2014 9:43 pm

Good to have a proactive manager ( but I liked Malky ) who plays entertaining attacking football in whichever league we are in next year. I pay to be entertained, which is why I liked the championship, all fairly equal and competitive. You never knew what was going to happen. But I hope we stay up though I won't be reaching for the rope if we get relegated. :ole: :bluescarf: :ayatollah:

I don't think there was a City fan in the away end who agreed with the selection....Taylor & Gunnarson? C'mon
We needed a win today and we didn't set up to try & win that game. The late goal felt like a winning goal but in hindsight it's not enough, West Brom were no big shakes & there for the taking.
Excellent comeback admittedly and a good second half showing, but that late goal just masked the fact that Ole screwed up today!

well. i have stayed positive all season. until today, this was a must win game, and my final report is, its been a pathetic shot at the premiership, no quality players in the team, good players . yes. but not premiership quality, were going down. dont know where we go from here :(

Getting hit with two goals today, and find character to come back surely must be nothing but inspiring for the remaining games.
I was watching palace today, and they truly looked like a very good fighting team. If we beat them, then we can beat anyone in the remaining games :ole:

We're to defensively lapse to stay up - Palace will just sit back next week and hit our inept full backs with pace on the break - we'll prob lose 3-2 or scrape a draw which will never be enough.

Yes, we were all lifted yesterday with the late equaliser but let's not forget it was a MUST WIN game - a fortunate point can't take that fact away

agree with you totally carlos
but some of the comments on this thread are just so unbelievable
ffs john cala and no one were injured and people on here moan about the changes to our starting line up
3 goals away from home 10 goals in our last 4 games gives us a fighting chance
this was a must not lose game for us not a must win
w b a will have made this a priority win as they were home and fighting for there premiership life
palace at home is a must win and sunderland away a must not lose although a win up there and at home to palace would surely give us the upper hand over our rivals
3 points against palace 1 point against sunderland and 3/4 points from Southampton stoke and Newcastle would put us on 33 or 34 points going into our final game but if were to beat sunderland rather than draw we would be on 35 or 36 points
imo we still have a great chance of pulling it off especially as we are scoring goals home and away :ole: :ole: :ole: :ole: :ole: :ole: :ole: :ole: :ole: :ole: :ole: :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

Good post Carl

I really thought that was it when the third goal went in.

It was a great game really and such a strange one, but as Ole said it looked like a definite turning point, they need to push on now, if we beat Palace, I think we will stay up, although I have been saying similar to every other game for weeks now :laughing6:

It's a great game anyway, I am enjoying this run in, it's stressful but brilliant :bluescarf:

Ive just gone through all the remaining fixures and tried to give a serious prediction...
If we beat Palace we will finish in 17th, if we draw or loose then we are down.....I think we could be the last chance for palace to get points on the board. Terrible remaining fixures...

Who knows what will happen come the end of the season... you never know, we could beat Palace, Stoke, Sunderland, Newcastle, Chelsea and Southampton but it all comes down to the day... I'd like to think we can stay up especially when you look at teams like Palace, Norwich, Sunderland who have a pretty bad run in...

Norwich play Liverpool, Man Utd, Arsenal and Chelsea in there last four games...

Sunderland have still got Spurs, Everton, Man City, Chelsea and Man Utd to play with only Everton being a home fixture....

I have the faith :bluescarf: :ayatollah:

Re: ' POSSIBLY, JUST POSSIBLY . . . . , '

Mon Mar 31, 2014 9:51 am

i thought 4 points from West Brom and Palace was the absolute minimum we needed, so a win v Palace on Saturday keeps us in with a shout.

However, Palace beating Chelsea, and the fact that Norwich's next two matches are against West brom and Fulham make our task a lot more difficult!
