As a neutral who now lives in Newport I went along to FGR to tick one more off the 92. The last time I'd seen you lot play as county you lost 5-1 to Everton! I was very impressed. Solid at the back and clinical in the opposition penalty area. Simple but effective.
I was reading the argus the other day and I think it was Harry Kewell who was slagging county off for their style of football. All I can say is he's jealous as his team are at wrong end of table. I go along to football to watch teams attacking and scoring goals. So what if long balls are played to start an attack. Far better than pissing around in edge of own box and knocking it between your central defenders and defensive midfielders like certain other Welsh teams who then claim moral victories for losing with 70% possession.

Low below the belt dig!!! In all seriousness county were slated the other week by Harry Kewell of Crawley for their style of play. As far as I'm concerned football is about attacking and getting positive results. There are 2 ways to play attacking football. Get it up quickly and play in your opponents half (which ccfc and county do) or play with width and pace which Swansea did do under Martinez and at times under Rodgers. Unfortunately Rodgers ego and the obsession with keeping the ball got in the way and passing the ball between defenders and defensive midfield led to the watching paint dry comments from the media.

Ok, Annis, i never really rated you lot either unless you were in big numbers.
But hey, maybe you can help me out with this one. What incident prompted A total ban on away fans prior to the bubbles being introduced? Most think it was the 'Battle of Ninian Park' in 93. But's that isn't correct as there is a youtube video of us playing you at Ninian Park almost a year later (Sept 94) and our fans were clearly allowed to attend that game. Yet i cannot think of any major incident between 93 and the total ban? It's a mystery!

Even the infamous fa cup game at the vetch before the game the main mob made there way via Neath in vans etc to avoid being detected did they not? Only a 100 or so. After was different, tell you something I’ve never seen a mob of 1000 plus wandering through the streets of Cardiff laughing like I did after that game.

It was a complete walk over just about every time, cleared their end twice one game!!! Valleys main lot ended up not even bothering going to games between the two, because it was so easy. I'm amazed at this post, you must have been a young un, or someone who was involved in the teenage nonsense which took place away from football days.

The Valleys never saw County's firm, it was mostly between Cardiff lads and them.
You would be shocked how good they were and the time we marched from the station to Somerton Park, the Police had All County's lads held down a side street for over an hr,they blocked them totally off.
They were also massive at County v Merthyr at Ninian Park, plus in friendlies and many many times when the season was finished they would come to Cardiff and battle it out with us.
They would take large numbers on Bank Holidays to Barry Island where Cardiff,Barry,Penarth lads would fight all day with them.

You're right, that's why we-Valleys, Rhondda in particular-never rated them, still don't tbh . On match days they were nothing, and without being disrespectful, myself and others were a little bit too old to be playing silly buggers on non-match days. It pains me to say it, but the Jacks were way way better than Newport. Again all about opinions, always good to chat about days now long gone.

After all the jacks hate the fact there was CCFC fans in neath and pt, the rivalry must spread all the way up to Merthyr I imagine? Past Aberdare, Maesteg, always blue towns really but closer to Swansea I think. I’m sure lots went on in these places that lads in Cardiff never really knew about, like valleys don’t know about the Newport thing in the 80’s when it was at its most lively.

Well I went to the Vetch for every game from the 70's till now and during the old days shall I say, you know for a fact Cardiff took Swansea's town centre and the front of Swansea over every time and it was better than playing at home.
Neath/Port Talbot, (PVM) Blues would have already taken parts of Swansea over before the rest of Cardiff had already even arrived.
After your lot threw seats at families, no wonder fans were banned, even when we got banned at your place, the first time I got in and was eventually joined by 400 other Cardiff fans and we were left alone on the East Terrace, the second time, I got escorted out after 10 mins and joined other Cardiff fans fans walking the front of Swansea.
Every Monday night in Swansea town Centre (Martha's Pub/night club Cardiff Docks lads would take it over and would be joined by Neath/Port Talbot lads and drink all over Swansea, Swansea knew we were there, but were to scared to come out.
