Yep that riot when he sacked him was legendary.

So you wanted to see a Riot Neil?

It was just a song to show support for Malky, sung with all our hearts by thousands of loyal Cardiff fans who were there :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

Of course not. My point is there was actually very little in way of actual protest when he was actually sacked. The three nil loss and insipid performance v Southampton saw to that. Oh and the fact people were happy with OGS being appointed at first.

Neil I was at that Southampton game and the atmosphere was so negative it reminded me of the time we got stuffed by Reading in the play offs. Then everyone felt we were not going to make it and at the Southampton game it felt like we had to win 6-0 for Malky to keep his job. The pressure on the team was immense thanks to Tan and it bugs me when people use that game as a chance to have a go at Malky without taking into consideration the whole picture.

To say people were happy to see OGS appointment well I didn't see anyone excited by this. Yes the fans cheered him when he first came onto the pitch but I don't recall much affection for him after that.

Plenty on here were very happy.

If the Southampton game was make or break for Malky and the players played so abjectly then I think they showed their thoughts loud and clear.

So the neutral BBC says 500, you say 1400. Nobody counted them individually. Even if it was 1400. We were getting 28000 crowds at the time so you are looking at 5% wanted Malky to stay.

Would you agree with Nubbsy that the majority of fans who went wanted MM to stay? I didn’t go so can’t have an opinion.

I didn't go to every game. What I will say is I know a number of people who sang the don't sack McKay didn't care if he went or not, however it was extremely catchy. Personally I never sang it.

Let's be fair Malky's sacking can't really be argued if you look at it.. aside the disagreements with the board he won 4 in 18. He only won 1 away game and he spent 40 million when clubs like Hull were above us and spent no where near that much so you can't argue with his sacking based on that.
I will.
And before anyone els gets in there no im not an ideot abroad

there was discontent long before the Villa game { by which time the Malky getting sacked rumour was rampant }. Moody had already gone , but even earlier than that there were reports of Tan being unhappy with recruitment as early as the West Ham game....so on it went..for months .with Malky originally standing firm refusing to resign and apparently taking issue with some points Tan had made in that infamous email.
what happened after he got sacked though beats me..

Someone posted a good point the other day about how our promotion season seemed to lose momentum in the last few games with a number of uninspired draws including the Charlton game when we went up and Burnley when we became Champions.

I have long thought that the rot was setting in then and Tan telling the world we had £25m to spend didn't help either, although MM was still responsible for wasting it.

My opinion was he was brilliant in the championship, cup final, promotion as champions although on an extremely good budget, im pretty certain the highest in the league at the time he still did the hard work to get us up. I wouldn’t fault him on that and will always have fond memories of those years. I think when we went up his ego became too big for him to handle and he could see what he could get away with which seems was a lot. The club have to take blame here as well, trusting just one person has its problems.

People can say all they want about us not being in the bottom 3 before he was sacked and they have a point but in my opinion it was a matter of time, we looked poor, we barely had a shot on target for a number of games and seemed to be getting more and more defensive every week. We will never know of course but I have no doubt we were heading into the drop zone and quickly. However that was my opinion and could understand that some people wanted him to stay and others wanted him to go, that’s football. At that point I would have wished him well for the future.

My issue was he clearly wouldn’t resign as he didn’t want to forgo the compensation due to him if he was sacked. He was putting himself ahead of the club knowing he was going to go and knowing he had been acting inappropriately I think he lacked class here. I think he showed a lack of respect to himself and the club by not resigning when given the opportunity.

Obviously once he realised the club had evidence of his behaviour one of two things happened, he took a payoff and agreed to thank Tan and the club or he realised he was in a lose lose situation.
either way his pathetic grovelling apology and praise of Tan was pathetic and totally false I’m assuming he did it for some compensation, at that point I don’t think my opinion of him could get much lower, as with the rebrand he would say anything for a quick quid. He could certainly talk the talk to the media, He was quite happy to say about how he scouted Velikonja for a number of years and so pleased with the signing….did he? was he? who knows but happy to boast about it.

This is another reason I don’t and will never believe he didn’t benefit from some of the bizarre transfers along with Moody. Not finding enough evidence to prosecute him is not the same as it not happening. I think we can provide thousand if not millions of examples of someone doing something over the years but them not being found guilty for it.

Anyway that’s my opinion of Malky and I don’t care if people don’t like it. That’s not to say other people aren’t to blame as well including Tan, Agents, Moody etc, however for me they are not linked. I do think some people support Malky to have a dig at Tan (maybe Viseversa) which to me makes no sense. It’s like saying everyone who is in-support of Tan also fully supported Slade just because he was Tans choice, nonsense of course.

not in the bottom 3 after 18 games is not proof of anything Norwich were not either but also went down.?.easier games after xmas..that really isnt how football works and those saying it know that but if you throw Malky or Tan into the equation black can become white or green or brown

NO mater what the anti Malky brigade & followers of Tan think.

Heres the Facts.

Malky has not been done for any fraud and once again Tan has lost :thumbright:

Tan tried it with The Riddler,Sam and Malky and Lost Every Case, costing £millions upon £millions, money wasted.
No one likes losing and No one likes losing their money and time.
Not even one case did he win.
Three cases in a row.

Plus he's had 8 managers/6 CEO'S in 7 years, Surely the blame belongs at Mr Tans door, the man at the top who has the final say :thumbright:

The fact is, We will never now know if Malky would of kept us up thanks to Tan,but we do know this Malky was sacked and Tan put Ole in and we were relegated and hammered virtually week in week out.

So you can try every way around, the facts are above end off :thumbright: :thumbright:

Tan didn’t really lose though, he got a pathetic grovelling apology from Malky in his statement, would have been a low point of any decent man. Somethings are better than money and I bet Tan loved every second of that

The rest as you say we will never know

Personally I understand him trying to get money back from Riddler and Sam, id also be pretty p1ssed off having to pay for someone elses mess. Tan is the only one so far who is paying for his own mistakes and trying to make it right while the others just swan off and tried to grab every penny after. Sam even taking us to court for liquidation. That as you say Annis is a fact. Although the Malky cases should have been dropped even if he did think he cost him money.

When did Sam take us to court for liquidation?

Same tried to take us to court to force us to pay the £30 million. If he would have won that then he would have tried to get the club back. With that in mind Ridsdale threatened administration if we lost to Sam in court. That's the fact Luke.

Malky has not been done for any fraud and once again Tan has lost :thumbright: - You think a man of Malkys standing would have made this groveling apology if he had nothing to hide? "Wherever mistakes were made during my time at the club, I wish to apologise for any part that I played in them, and for any offence I might have caused, particularly to Tan Sri Vincent Tan and all City fans."

No one likes losing and No one likes losing their money and time.
Not even one case did he win.
Three cases in a row. - He didn't take any legal action against Ridsdale no case ever went to court. He ousted Sam as being Langstone, like it or not what Sam did is illegal, Malky well see above.

- We were 1 point off relegation with 4 wins in 19 games and you seriously believe we could have avoided relegation? come on I know you dislike Tan but at least keep your football head on.

So you can try every way around, the facts are above end off :thumbright: :thumbright:
