SKY SPORTS AGREES MEGA DEALS FOR EFL & SCOTTISH FOOTBALL

Tue Nov 20, 2018 10:49 am

Sky Sports will show Ladbrokes Premiership matches exclusively live for five seasons from the 2020/21 campaign after outbidding rivals BT Sport for the broadcasting rights with a £100 million offer.

The EFL has agreed a five-year domestic broadcasting deal with Sky Sports worth a whopping £595million starting from the 2019/20 season.

Teams such as Derby, Aston Villa & Leeds United are not happy with this deal going ahead whatsoever.

It's roughly £100m a season split between 72 clubs hardly brilliant considering the popularity of EFL especially championship, and how premiership is being spread across more & more platforms so sky need other football to fill void left. :old:

Because they say that the money offered undervalues the football on offer, they think that it should be a lot more!

It should be for reasons stated above sky are losing more and more premiership games and of course lost la liga so next market is EFL for them? Don't think fees paid cover the lost fans through gate! :old:
