on this one ive taken the worm off and put our old daffs and dragon on

I was dreading the new badge in fairness. As we have been accustom to some outrageous decisions. Fortunately I can live with this! It isn't fantastic, but surprisingly decent considering how basic the overall concept is.
In other words...Thank F#*K for that

The new Cardiff badge, to be used for the 2015/16 season onwards, has been unveiled by the club today with a statement released on the Official Website.

Earlier this year Vincent Tan finally, and logically, bowed to the public demand for us to return from red back to our traditional blue as our home kit - the controversial rebranding that the Cardiff owner had undertaken some years back also involved a new crest.

This new badge will feature a Bluebird prominently with a small oriental dragon, which is based on the one featured at Cardiff City Hall, below.

'Projecting our Welsh heritage, the stance was taken from the national flag, as has been seen on our crest or shirt for a number of years.

'Celebrating Asian-linked culture, design and tradition influences, we also looked to create a dragon that could be primarily owned and appreciated locally.

'To achieve this the main influence was drawn from the dragon placed on top of Cardiff City Hall, as has been the case since 1904.'

There's still work to be done by Tan, and of course this isn't going to be to the liking of all, but this is another sensible move and step in the right direction isn't it?

Not perfect but certainly not complaining. The design is great. To be fussy, I'd like to see the red lining changed to yellow and more blue and yellow added to it, there is a lot of white.

Other than that though, this is certainly better. Small steps.

I am sure a small number of fans will still moan about it as they had already made their minds up in advance that they weren't going to like it whatever it looked like. I think the majority of fans will be happy with it, and the rest will just have to get over it.

Well, I didn't know what to expect, and definetly didn't have my mind up. The badge is so much better from the one we have at the moment, so it is a huge step forward. No one can deny it.

But the design of the badge is not my favourite and the dragon pokes my eyes.

Would you say this dragon was also bad, being the same serpent like creature?

It doesn't matter if this picture of a dragon statue is from Cardiff or not.

We all knew 'Asian dragon' will be present on the badge (I would prefer the Polish eagle ).

As I said before - I really think it is a big step forward from what we have now, but...

I just don't like this new badge. I thought I will get over it by the end of the day, but unfortunately it didn't happen.

Thanks to vt for finally changing us back to blue feels like my club again.

The new badge is appreciated aswell and is for more an association to ccfc than the current one and as far as me liking it its fine im not over the moon loving it.

Form me the badge tan bined is the best badge but fair play to tan its a fair compromise.

All we need to do now is concentrate on football.

Does look better but for me the old badge is cardiff city dont need a new badge every fan was happy with the old one but at leass it looks more like a cardiff badge not like the current one.

Agree, I like it too.

I like it,it's a modern touch on a classic badge time to put this behind us and concentrate on making the ccs hard to come to for the opposition

Initially I didn't know what to think about the new badge but it seems the more I see it the nicer it looks. Football and times are changing our bluebird is the main symbol and dominant over the dragon we should embrace it and get behind the team as supporters should be doing

Actually I agree with you, the aesthetic of the circle is better placed.

the red trim is just awful, style icon tan is not and he certainly left a reminder of that in the approved design
