A forum for all things Cardiff City

Nice to see on this forum that some people have been sent season tickets. Nobody I know has received them yet.Still we only paid for them in March so we can,t expect too much from our wonderful ticket office. From the fiasco of the League Cup final tickets when we were promised two each but the computer system could only supply one to the late delivery of Wembley play off tickets are ticket office continues its glorious run of general inefficiency and taking the piss out of loyal supporters.
We may be Premier league but our ticket office could not cope with Blue Square Premier

The last were sent out today and will be delivered within 2 days.. Chill.
Wed Aug 14, 2013 6:54 pm
You don't need it for 10 days.
If nobody had got one then yeah moan, but the fact that people have started to get them shows they are in the process of sending them out.
Will the moaning EVER end.

I will stick up for the ticket office as I see the work they do and deal with them through the travel group, they are nothing but helpful and like all of us I am sure there have been the odd mistakes made but to be honest this thread is a bit of a joke.
If it was the day before Many City at home I am sure if you phoned them or went there and explained you hadn't received your season ticket and took proof and id then they would at least give you a paper ticket for the game but the fact there is 10 days to go, this thread is unnecessary.

Would have thought it would be a big job getting 20 odd thousand season tickets, plus another few thousand Gold Membership cards with photos on out to all our fans, but yeah you go on and have a good moan, that'll make them turn up quicker for you!
Wed Aug 14, 2013 7:19 pm
Never had a problem with them, they've always been very helpful and efficient as far as I'm concerned.
Wed Aug 14, 2013 7:33 pm
I could understand if you needed them staright away but they are not needed until a week Sunday , they will get to you in time chill mun

I think the Ticket Office have come on light-years in the last couple of seasons.
Wed Aug 14, 2013 9:06 pm
My experience is that the ticket office are useless. Slow to answer phones and not always helpful when they do.
A couple of months back i emailed them to query something regards the Gold membership but had no reply. I retried and 2 weeks after sending my 5th message i did get a reply.
Totally unreliable.

Never had an issue and have always found them helpful.
Last Monday I asked if my West Ham ticket be could be sent directly to me. My request was approved and my ticket was delivered on Saturday.

Agree 100%. Staff in the ticket office are excellent and always polite and helpful. Never had a reason to criticize them at all. Long may it continue.

maybe if you treat them like twats they giveyou same response, the club didn't receive the cards til last week so how could they send them out?

I didn't know that was possible.

I an exile. It all depends on your circumstances and the club have the final decision. The club only received a small amount of tickets to send out directly.

I'll keep that in mind. I'm an exile at times too.

I have to be fair, since being a season tickets holder for the past 9 years they have never failed for me. Whether that's a stadium card, away ticket or cup tie they have always delivered. There is over a week till man city. Chill out, it will arrive in plenty of time. It's just a piece of plastic!
Thu Aug 15, 2013 9:40 am
The poor service from the ticket office seems to be a recurring thing
Surely someone with influence in there reads this MB and can get it noted?
I had a conversation with someone (within the club) recently who stated that the club were still being run very amaterish in certain areas and one of those was ticketing (and the way everything appears to be half-cocked)
Thu Aug 15, 2013 10:05 am
They sent me the wrong season ticket. It had my sisters details who isn't even a ST holder. I rang the ticket office up and they were quick to apologise and deal with the problem. Just have to wait and see if I get my ticket before Man City!

Now that is a legitimate concern. I don't know who does that introductory message at the beginning but the guy is a complete tosser. For some reason he is determined to babble on for at least 2/3 minutes giving out information that he repeats several times.
You are then put in a queue. When I phoned for A Bilbao tickets I was number 21 and 10 minutes later I was still only number 19!
I couldn't wait any longer as I was going out so I wasted the best part of quarter of an hour (which cost me £1.50) for no end result.
I went to the game eventually but I did feel like giving it a miss TBH.
BTW if the OP has forked out £300+ in MARCH for a ST then I think he has a point in that why even 10 days before the Premiership KO is he still waiting for his card? A few years ago season ticket cards would be delivered in mid-July and for the life of me I can't understand why that can't be the same now, especially for those who pay months in advance?

Karl wrote:Lol. You don't even need it yet.
I don't think that's the point. If you pay for something months in advance then is it right to be kept waiting so long for proof of your entitlement to a service?
I paid for mine on the day they went on sale (1 Feb) and only received it yesterday. OK I don't need it until the Man City game but I want to know well in advance that all of the details are correct and I am receiving exactly what I paid for i.e. correct seat, correct name and other details.
Getting this info 10 days before the KO is not good enough IMO especially considering the cock ups I have had with the Ticket Office in previous seasons. Believe it or not at one time they were charging my card for someone else's ST and I didn't even know this person and I had to make 3 trips from Newport to Cardiff (at my expense) to sort it out!
Sorry if they want you to pay for your ST well in advance then it is only fair that they give you that ST at the earliest possible time.
Thu Aug 15, 2013 10:32 am
I'm not defending the delay in receiving STs but it 's not any different to most events nowadays.
For instance, I booked tix for a gig in October last December. I'm told by the ticket agency not to contact them unless they haven't arrived 10 days before the gig
This, in my experience, isn't unusual and not really something that the CCFC ticket office is guilty of alone.
Thu Aug 15, 2013 10:36 am
Im pretty sure it had always been said that tickets would be sent out first 2 weeks of August, so why complain if youve not got them, your not gonna use them!
If you havent got it by the first game, go complain to the ticket office, not a message board!
Thu Aug 15, 2013 10:42 am
People Need to realise the work that actually goes into organising these things . It's not just a case of picking a card out of a box and posting it when somebody buys one .
A few years ago we did used to have them middle of July BUT a few years ago they didnt have 20k plus season ticket holders and a membership scheme to deal with . Add to that the demand for away games this year and you can see why it takes longer , to be fair the ticket office wasnt big enough when they built it and they are understaffed especially in the off season .
The card timing is nothing to do with the ticket office either that's down to the manufacturers
Personally I think they are doing a great job , if anybody's to blame its the management of the club for understaffing the ticket office

All the more reason to get it done earlier
Thu Aug 15, 2013 1:19 pm
Oh, come off it.
Lets see you do that job, it's harder than it looks!
I got mine on Monday. I know a few who got their's today.
Out of interest, why do you need it now? As mentioned above, we don't play at home until the 25th.
The cards were sent out later because of the card supplier, not any blame can be blamed on the ticket office for that.
The reason they might be slow to answer phones is because they're busy - did that not cross your mind?
