Lakey, The deal between City and Molde is 'done', everything has been accepted but United do have the buy back option and that is what is holding up the announcement.
As far as I am concerned the deal will be finalised and Daehli will be announced as a City player

It'll be a great capture this mate. Serious potential. United have tried to get him back but fair play to the lad. He can already see we're the future of the game and they're past it

I really thought it would have happened this afternoon tbh.
There is always this evening.

It makes sense for him to sign for us, first team football and premier league experience will hopefully mean in a few years there will be a host of world class clubs trying to sign him, if he went back to united it would be a step back
Fri Jan 10, 2014 5:21 pm
when do you think it will be announced?
Fri Jan 10, 2014 5:38 pm
Very happy with this news.
First time we will have pipped Manure to signing a player.
Times have changed from Rhys Weston etc, no dis respect to Rhys. Saw him last season playing for Bath. Nice guy
Fri Jan 10, 2014 5:38 pm
Nope it was Josh Low. Whoops
Fri Jan 10, 2014 5:40 pm
This is great. I'm sure he'll get some first team football pretty early on. Future star at this pace, for sure!
Fri Jan 10, 2014 6:13 pm
So have Man Utd given up now then
Fri Jan 10, 2014 6:14 pm
So presumably the way this buy back clause works is that Molde had to give Man Utd the chance to buy the player back at the same fee Cardiff offered (or I suppose there may have been an agreed figure as part of the clause), but the player has the final say as to which club he goes to?

Great to be in direct competition with Manu for players and winning, when would be the last time that happened ???
Can't wait for tomorrow and to see our new look team at Man City

Yeah I've heard this too. Everything was 'done' between Molde and City, but United I've heard do have the buy back option so that is holding things up.
I'm led to believe that the deal will be done and Daehli will be unveiled as a City player.

Yep bad wording, see them tomorrow at home, then Man City week after, with the new players

All sounds a bit suspect to me. If the job is done he would be here, as he is not I imagine there are still obstacles. Lets hope anyway.

Could this tug of war with Man Utd scupper our chance of a loan deal for Zaha?

I'm guessing that he'll be confirmed not long after the game tomorrow along with maybe a few others.

I'm not fussed either way either, but if Ole thinks he'd improve our squad, then that's all that matters as far as I'm concerned!
I certainly wouldn't want him going to one of our relegation rivals and scoring the goals that keep them up instead of us!

Diouf looks very close but haven't heard anything on Zaha. Promising what Carl said about him travelling down
