No, lets not put Gunnarson into a defensive role. When he comes on in a defensive role, the whole team seems to move back towards Marshal.
Today, Cowie and Eikrem payed well in the defensive rolls. Cowie especially. For all the people that knock him, he can hold the ball and can make a pass, plus he can run and run and run. He has played more as a defensive winger for us for a while, maybe a deeper roll with a bit more freedom will suit him better.

Spot on, sometimes you need two of them as we did against napoli. Only issue with medel is that we got canas on a free and leon in league 2 yet medel cost a fortune and therefore some of your fans want more from a midfielder costing so much.
