Vincent Tan has claimed that former Cardiff employee Iain Moody used his connections within the club to obtain information regarding the “Bluebirds” starting XI prior to last weekend’s Premier League tie.
Amidst a series of wild allegations, Tan formally wrote to Premier League boss Richard Scudamore yesterday, demanding an official investigation of Palace, but after being informed of the accusations, Crystal Palace and Moody have strongly denied any elements of wrongdoing.
Moody was denied entry into the Cardiff boardroom by Tan on Saturday, being forced to sit with the travelling Palace fans instead, and now it seems the Malaysian is intent on making an official complaint over his former employee’s actions in the build-up to the match.
Given his ongoing legal battle with former manager Malky Mackay, you would assume that his latest set of accusations will hold little sway in the eyes of the Premier League, but having just clawed our way out of the immediate battle to avoid relegation, it wouldn’t surprise me for these claims to run and run.
