Cardiff City have sacked one member of staff after acquiring a copy of a text message that contained the Bluebirds team against Palace

Cardiff City have dismissed a member of staff and another is likely to be disciplined as heads roll in the aftermath of the Crystal Palace spying saga.

Bluebirds chairman Mehmet Dalman has contacted the Premier League to complain after manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team was leaked to Palace last week.

League officials have asked for a dossier on Cardiff’s case, while a reliable source at the club claims they have ‘concrete evidence’.

Dalman is not prepared to comment, while Solskjaer fended off media questions, saying: “You will have to ask the chairman.”

The club will not reveal the identities of the individuals spoken to, but our source said: “One person has been disciplined. It is gross misconduct and there has been an internal enquiry. Heads will roll. More than one.”

Solskjaer was aware late last week, 24 hours before the crucial home match against Palace, that the London club knew exactly what his intended starting line-up was for the game.

“This is nothing to do with the result against Palace,” said our source. “They were good and we were poor, but it’s certainly not sour grapes. The evidence is heavy.

“The club has a copy of an SMS message sent which includes the exact team Solskjaer was going to start with.

“A copy of the message was passed to Cardiff City. Solskjaer talked to Palace manager Tony Pulis after the match and expressed his disappointment. "


We have been told Pulis replied by saying he had never asked for the Cardiff line-up.

Owner Vincent Tan has not been involved in the internal enquiry and it was Dalman who interviewed staff individually.

Solskjaer was keen to back his whole squad during a press conference, saying: “I have absolutely no reason to doubt the professionalism, honesty, integrity or loyalty of any player."

Unaccaeptable, I wonder if Ole then changed the team considering he knew it in advance.

Well done to the club for sniffing out this judas! We were poor against Palace, maybe we would have had a much better chance without Pulis having the heads up on our matchday squad, I hope the judas his happy with his/her contribution to our relegation.

I am more than happy to go down, for everyone to just leave and promote the youth and we go again. We can do it. We are Cardiff City, the Bluebirds, with a great core fan base that will stand up in times of trouble. We know that. They'll be there!! All the reds can go to Malaysia and work for Tan and make cringeworthy YouTube videos worshipping him on his birthday. They'll love that. Natman Blue will be first on the plane, probably the pilot. Get the young lads in the team playing proudly for the shirt and keep the likes of Hudson as core players to help phase them in. You cant get a better leader than Hudson to help them come through. Just the type of player you need.

Im sure it was mentioned in one of the other articles or somewhere on here that the team against Palace was different to the text message.

Wow! This is disgraceful. As the club didn't have enough problems. Wonder what this person was getting out of leaking info?

Until individuals are named then I believe this story just as much as another other so-called insider said story in the media.

Not really, the first team that was leaked could have beaten Palace for all we know. The fact we changed it because it was leaked to Palace will only count in our favour not Palace's providing we can prove they tried to get it.

How dare Dalman deal with this and take the blame off Tan, doesn't he know that this board only wants info that can be used against and make a mockery of Tan.
