Crystal Palace Chairman Speaks out," Cardiff should be looking at their own organisation and questioning some of the people who work for them. "

viewtopic.php?f=2&t=139657"My reaction is: We played them - we beat them!
"It's completely far-fetched to me. I can't imagine it in a million years. I think it will be sour grapes really.
"There was no attempt corporately by this football club to find out anything that would be any different to anybody else trying to work things out before a game.
"I would certainly never dream of being involved in anything like of the kind they suggest.
"I think everyone tries to second guess the other side's team. But I was actually surprised with the team they played so I certainly didn't know what team they were going to play.
"I'd like to think that if someone rang anyone at my club and asked them for the team, they wouldn't tell them.
"If Cardiff think they have people like that, they should be looking at their own organisation and questioning some of the people who work for them. I don't think Iain rang Cardiff and asked someone 'What's the team for Saturday?"

he says dont think moody rang in other words he doesnt know!!
and he's stating the obvious (look at themselves) as city have already said they have sacked someone over this ! the question is did palace official ask for info?? it appears he's trying to deflect things away from palace?

Makes you question other people's organizations as well if someone can try to go to another club saying "I've got info on X, Y, and Z"
and for the other team to "so nice," but to take the information and then only say yeah it happened when we find out about it.
Where's the sportsmanship in immediately calling another club saying someone in your team is trying to come and give us information? Why wait until now, and still point all the blame on us?
Does anyone else see that as a fucked up way of thinking? I'm generally pretty pessimistic on most things in life, but this still has me pretty disgusted in a lot.

Fully agreed with him.
It's not our job to prove other clubs are cheating bastards and we should be ashamed of ourselves for even attempting to.

So its ok for another club attempting to get the info?
We have dealt with our issue, time for palace to deal with theirs.

Palace have denied attempting to get any info, and to be honest I'd rather listen to them than the people who work for our club.

You are judging this incident based on totally unrelated incidents in the past. That then gives your opinion bias. Not everything can be blamed on the regime just because we don't like a colour.
At the moment we have our club sacking people for gross misconduct and copies of texts showing contact with CPFC. We now have their chairman making a statement that does not fully refute the claims.
He has said nothing was tried CORPORATELY and that he didn't approach anyone.
He then deflects by suggesting that IF someone contacted Cardiff then we should look inward if an employee is willing to release the team. Nicely ignoring the fact that contacting Cardiff direct in this underhanded manner is a pretty appalling thing to do. If it is true.

Totally agree, we should be looking at our own club.
But I do understand now why we refused Ian Moody entrance to the Directors box.

We did look at our own club. The club sacked one member of staff and disciplined another. Back at you Sir.
