Vincent Tan: Cardiff City could be debt-free in 'days'

Mr Tan said his total investment in the club so far would be about £120m.

"We are, I think, days away from an agreement."

Mr Tan said if the deal could be done, he could "convert all my loans to equity and make the club financially much more secure and hopefully debt-free".

He added: "That's my goal - to make the club debt-free, so that the club won't be under any threat and after that we just have to manage it prudently, run it like a business."


It was mentioned that he would convert his debt to equity at the time of the rebrand "deal".

It was mentioned a year later in this interview that the club could be debt free in days...

Yet STILL, 2 years on, this club is in more debt that ever & VT has admitted that he has no plans to actually stick to his word and make this club debt free....

So sadly, for me, those who say that the fans are hypocritical for protesting, I'm afraid, are not correct. Tan hasn't stuck to his word, so why should supporters?
