THE MOST INTIMIDATING and ON TOP PLACE YOU HAVE

Sun Dec 27, 2009 1:30 pm

EVER BEEN TOO ?

Mine was Westham UTD away in 1977/78 Season, My first Away game.
I went up on the old Ader Glas Coaches with Mia Daniels(RIP) Supporters club.

800 Cardiff went, nearly all lads, on the coach trip up everyone was already fearing the worst and they were right.
In the Ground we got attacked at half-time by Westham on the other side of a small brick wall behind the goal we were and then a mob of Westham attacked us from the chicken run on the side, they jumped over and ran straight in to us, grown men and we were mostly kids, even the police ran at one stage, after they had given us a good mulling, the police restored order.

At the end of the game they attacked us again and even walked out with us, chased us to our coaches and even got on them to give us a battering.
Then 2 miles down the road they ambushed the coaches by a park, Cardiff finally had a go back, as we well out numbered them here. Eventually every window of of all the coached were put in by them.

I went back there the next yr, only 200 went and most of us left half-time, 3rd yr in the night I went and we took 25 fans.
Rem the Soul Crew wasnt formed till 1982

As a Man Utd fan, it's got to be either Anfield or Elland Road - probably Anfield just shading it. I hate the bin dippers with a passion, way more so than the Leeds scum, but they were nasty blade merchants - very rarely failed to turn out for our visit (even if they were not a force to be reckoned with generally !!).

Millwall at the old Den in the 70s.Went there with a mate when we were in school & told our parents we were going to work on a farm for the day.He was born in Hackney & came to South Wales as a 12 year old & wanted to meet some old school mates who were Millwall fans.We went up on the supporters coach & arrived at mid day, the next 5 hours were to be the most terrifying experience i've ever had.Total mayhem from the time we got off the bus to getting back on the bus (minus the windows), i've never seen a mob who wanted to mame anybody like these, psychopaths in butchers coats who's sole intention was to inflict as much pain as possible.I'll never forget being asked the time with a knive being pressed to the back of my neck. This was a time before police escorts & travelling away meant you were on your own, 2 got stabbed & another bottled as soon as we got off the coach.Virtually every team who visited the Den in this era came unstuck & probably the only one who had some kind of result was West Ham, that's all i can say is, they must have had one hell of a mob.

Millwall away in the Auto Windscreens Cup. It was a late decision to go so we drove. London was rammed so we left the car and got the tube. Luckily for us a Millwall lad spotted us and took pity on us and walked us to the ground else I am sure the 3 of us would have got battered. Was still scared though when a mate of his spotted him and started chatting to him. We tried to skulk away and he called us back said we might get stabbed if we walked down to the ground alone.

After the game surrounded by loads of Millwall dying to get at us and we had to get the tube back to the car. Luckily City fans took pity on us and dropped us a bit away from the ground.

I was also quite intimidated at Doncaster away but that's because a few pissed up City fans thought me and my mate were coppers and wanted to kick off with us.

we were outside the away end at brum and were trying to persude brumaway85 to go to the hospital , he was sitting on the little wall , but he wasnt having any of it, despite not really knowing where he was

and it was a butchers meat hook that did the damage

not my idea of a fun day out

although at the end of the game birmingham invaded the pitch and this right gobby fool came right up to the fence but was less gobby a few moments later as a rock thrown from our end knocked him clean out and he was carried off on a stretcher bandaged up like a mummy

maybe it was brumaway85 and his moment of revenge
