I can't see past Reading for champions tbh. The Wurzels will be challenging as well, plus QPR and Boro can't be ruled out, but I believe if we can keep our better players then we are a match for anyone.

Thoughts on pompey? I know they are having problems financially, but could their experience from the premier league help out? Can't see Reading making top 6 but i suppose we will find out..

Well I predicted Sheffield United would go up and Blackpool would get relegated last season!
This year... I'll even go for positions...
1. Nottingham Forest
2. Cardiff
3. Reading
4. Middlesbrough
5. Sheffield United
6. QPR
The ones to go down will be...
22. Portsmouth
23. Crystal Palace
24. Barnsley
I can see all three promoted teams doing well. I can't see any of the teams coming down having an impact. I think the Mark Robins and Barnsley bubble has burst. I also think Crystal Palace and Portsmouth's financial problems this summer will hit them hard. Watford and Preston may struggle as well... as may Swansea if things are as rumoured.

I forgot Forest, but I could go on and on, This is going to be a lot tougher league next season than I thought.
Thu Jun 17, 2010 4:20 pm
I think the top two are less guaranteed than last season but there's more teams going for it. I can think of a dozen teams who genuinely could win the title this season.

i think its to hard to call when we dont know who we are going to sign etc. if we get the likes of bellamy we will walk this league.

Burnley Reading Cardiff City Notts Forest Middlesboro Leicester
Thu Jun 17, 2010 5:25 pm
It's far too early for this Annis, we've got no idea who'll be playing for who or if the Jacks will actually have a team left to field after the transfer window shuts!!!
Right now I'm going to suggest Forest, Burnley, us, Leicester, the Pigs and QPR will all be up there, but come back to me in august and then I'll give you an educated guess!
Thu Jun 17, 2010 5:37 pm
i said weeks ago we were lucky that a lot of teams had bad seasons. i really cant see us in the top 6 unless we get A WHOLE NEW DEFENCE. and you can shove steve howard up your asses, cos he had one good game last season, and lets be frank, its not hard to give our defence the run around
Thu Jun 17, 2010 6:22 pm
I hope you are right this time around as you said last year we would only be a mid table to a struggling side and you was totally wrong about that and we dont have at the moment any new players to make us a better side than last season so why do u think we will make the top six this time around

Cardiff
Reading
Forest

To early to say Annis. We have no idea who our manager will be or what players that are coming in. Unless you know more than you are telling us mate.

Most people leaving Leicester out, I can't believe that I honestly think Leicester will be next years qpr and walk the league closely followed by ipswitch
