" THIS WEEK IN THE SKYBET CHAMPIONSHIP "

Mon Dec 14, 2015 3:27 pm

Last Friday, Sky Sports began their "10 in 10". Which means they would be showing a match from the Football League for ten days in a row. This will continue this week, meaning the games are coming thick and fast in the run-up to Christmas.

I will start with the games Sky are showing in the Championship and then at the bottom there is a list of every game in the Championship this week :thumbright:

Tonight sees Blackburn face Nottingham Forest. Blackburn will move ahead of Cardiff City with a win, and to one point off the play-offs. A Forest win would move them level on points with Blackburn.

Tomorrow's game comes from Loftus Road as QPR face the leaders, Brighton. Obviously there are plenty of other games on this night, including Cardiff City's home game against Brentford - a defeat would see the away side leapfrog the Bluebirds.

On Wednesday night, Hull will play host to managerless Reading. Since sacking Steve Clarke, Reading have lost their only game at Preston.

Thursday night's showing will come from the Midlands as there is a mid-table clash between Wolves and Leeds. Wolves have struggled to reach the levels they set last season, while Leeds continue to look down rather than up under Steve Evans.

On Friday, it once again comes from the Midlands as two play-off hopefuls face each other. Cardiff City at Birmingham. A win for either team would be crucial at this point of the season.

On Saturday there will be a whole host of other games, but Sky's match once again features the league leaders. Brighton have a huge match against 2nd placed Middlesbrough. Just two points currently separate the two sides.
