Cardiff lost defender Sean Morrison to a knee injury last night, and Slade fears the 24-year-old could be out for up to a month.
His injury gave Bruno Ecuele Manga his first taste of action since September after recovering from a groin injury.

Slade will wait to discover the full extent of Morrison's problem before deciding whether or not to recall Ben Turner from his loan spell with Coventry City.
Slade can recall Turner at any moment and with raving reviews on Turners performances, if Morrison is out for a month, Slade will not hesitate to recall Turner.

I like Morrison but Turner is better, a proper defender

I like one stopper and one ball player. Manga is a better ball player than Connolly and turner is a better stopper than Morrison.

I don't believe a defender should have the ability to distribute. That should be down to the midfield. To be a central defender should defend and any possession he should be looking for the midfield.

A defender who can go up for corners and be a threat like the old Roger Johnson is a bonus. Johnson could defend very well and match that ability for set pieces up front.

Any defender that can distribute....well I don't know one.

Beggers belief how you come to your opinion that Turner is a 'top centre half' but you are entitled to it. The man has found his level at Coventry & should stay there because at prem/champ level he is an utter donkey a player of such limited ability it's not real & how you could think he should be anywhere near the match day squad truly frightens me!!

His only asset is hoofing the ball in to row Z (while aiming for row B) or hoofing it aimlessly up field to nobody, he cant pass, is a liability for the nono second he's in possession, cant distribute the ball, has no pace or positional awareness & he's nothing more than a clumsy donkey so for f**k sake leave him in league 1 or even 2!!

He's clumsy, positional awareness none existent! He has strength but his only asset is steaming back towards his own goal to make a hard tackle! Other that that in my opinion he is no where near a top defender!

He has def found the level he should be at! His injuries are far too concerning and we should not be looking to base our back four with him in our plans! Manga is by far one of the best players in the champ and should be playing week in week out!
