" IS HE THE ANSWER? OR WILL IT COST CITY MORE IN THE LONG RUN? "

Pilkington is he the answer? City are now relying on him as their main striker.
A proven striker would cost City a couple of million, but by thinking they are saving money, in the long run it could cost Cardiff dearly and prove more costly.

Anthony Pilkington was excellent again away at Charlton, always happy to take an early ball from the defence and driving at the Charlton centre-backs whenever he got the opportunity. But still the goals didn't come.

Remember, No one can blame Pilkigton , as he never asked to be put in this position and he is certainly giving it his best shot.

No one can doubt, Pilkington gives 100%, but City need goals now and if this season is written off, they will need goals next season, so is Pilkington the answer?

The name of the game is to score a proven striker would of certainly helped

We need one for next season when we can push on hopefully with a new manager too

I think he is one of the answers Annis but we need someone up front who can hold the ball up for Pilks and Lawrence to run on to???? Is Zahore that man? We need an experienced striker that plays his back to goal.

With Ameobi out, Noone still injured. Put pilks back on the right, and play lawrence up front with Macheda or Zahore (possibly Saadi on the bench if fit.

Needs must, and I think at this point we must give Macheda a chance. With Ameobi and Noone out, we need Pilkington out wide so I think it will be Macheda up front with Immers behind him this Saturday.

It doesn't inspire me with confidence, but seems our best option.

I presume with Zohore coming on loan that the idea is that he will be transferred to us when the embargo is lifted so surely he has to be given some game time to see if he's capable at this level, 10 mins here and there isn't gonna give us the answer, so surely if Pilks goes back wide he's gotta be an option. I think Pilks has given it a good go up front and will improve with time but in the situation we're in if we want to have any chance of the play offs we probably need proper strikers up front.

We have had recognized strikers up front this season and also failed to score. I would persist with Pilkington as he did 'score' on Saturday only to have it ruled out by a bad refereeing decision.

I really like him in that position.

Pilkington did score at Charlton. The officials wrongfully disallowed it.
