I went into this game optimistic that we could come away with all three points but sadly for the first hour or so Reading looked like a team who were settled and working the ball and the width very well.
City players were struggling to find any rhythm to their game, although we hit the bar in the first half there was very little else we could cheer about in the first half.
Reading had two golden opportunity's in the first forty five to add to their one goal lead but thankfully they fluffed their lines.
City appeared for the second half and in the first fifteen minutes there was no improvement on our first half showing.
Russell Slade made a double substitution midway through the second half and it worked perfectly, within just a couple of minutes Ameobi supplied Immers who headed home our equaliser.
The following ten minutes City's tails were up and I believed that we would go on and win it but after a mini revival it didn't last long enough to push for the winner.
A point away from home is always respectable even at a team who are struggling as low as Reading, if we can win against Derby at home in a fortnight then our play off challenge will remain very much still on.

3 points would have shown real intention but it's still a good away point. Still a lot of points to play for.

Poor performance but players never gave up. Sign of a good team is playing badly and picking up a point.

To be fair to Ameobi he came on and saved us a point yesterday, I must admit when I seen him coming on for noone my 1st instinct was wtf is that all about
