Cardiff City are waiting to see how bad the injury to striker Anthony Pilkington is and have the medical staff on stand bye.
Anthony Pilkington pulled out of the Republic of Ireland's friendly with Switzerland but has remained with the squad ahead of tonight's game with Slovakia.
It will leave City desperately sweating over the fitness of Pilkington who has become City's main striker and the main part of Russell Slade's plans in recent months, scoring five goals since becoming a striker in the 3-1 away win over Wolves.
Cardiff's other striking options are now very limited, with Idriss Saadi having precious little first team football since returning from a long-term injury, and Kenneth Zohore only playing 32 minutes since arriving on loan a couple of months ago.
