The problem with that is, that I have to leave my season ticket with someone and if I decide last minute to come from London for a game, I then have to arrange to pick it up, if tat person isn't attending, then it gets very complicated, so two cards issued would solve that

I would have thought though that you would only be only able do that once or twice, before the ticket office stopped it, understandably they wouldn't want to be doing it for numbers of fans, so that's not really a solution

I know I left it late but was on my way to the ticket office in plenty of time on Monday to renew my two long standing season tickets. On the way there I had an emergency call from home and had to turn back. I only managed to free myself up at 7.2pm so got straight on the phone to try and renew but couldn't get through. When I tried online after 8pm it said I'd missed the deadline.
Obviously I was on the phone at 9am the following morning but the office refused me the two year price freeze.
They said the phones weren't totally busy just before 8pm but they certainly didn't get to my call. By the same token the phone lines open at 9am on Tuesday but I didn't get an answer till 9.25 so all not quite as it seems.
As a long standing double season ticket holder I feel that the approach has been really inflexible based on my exceptional circumstances when trying to renew. Surely the ticket office can see that I was deliberately being awkward, especially as I tried to rectify it first thing next morning.
They then told me my seats were now on general sale and may have already gone.
Like many City supporters I sit with a group of mates.
The result is I haven't renewed. The whole experience has really put me off. I feel like they have disregarded my reasons and quickly forgotten about the many seasons of loyal support, both at home and on many, many ocassions as an away supporter. I even travel over 120 miles for every home game.
My fault for not renewing earlier maybe but I was fully intending to renew by the deadline but the emergency put paid to that.
Sticking by the club for the last 2 seasons of crap football seems to count for sod all. No wonder supporters have left in their droves.
Shame on you City for the lack of a reasonable response to a genuine issue.

Well not sure how they keep tabs on how many times do it, i get impression you only do it 3 or 4 times a season should not be problem? Simple selution ask ticket office directly how many times can fo it explain situation problem solved once for all?

There is a fee to be paid when obtaining a 'replacement' ticket when a season ticket has been left behind (can't remember the figure, but £5 is in my mind) but occasionally the club will waive the charge if it is the first time or very infrequently
Each transaction is recorded on the season ticket holders account, so it would soon be noted if someone was doing it persistently and the appropriate charge made

Thanks for that only done periodically never charged but answers question about how keep tabs on it
