' £20 FOR EVERY ADULT AWAY MATCH TICKET NEXT SEASON

Swansea City are making it £20 for every away game next season for their fans.
They did something similar this season.

For me whether you like or dislike the Jacks, its a fantastic idea by their club.

I honestly believe Cardiff City should of done it years ago,but its never to late to start with next season.
We have our last year of sky money.
We could charge a £30 membership.

Away support in my opinion is vital for clubs and as everyone knows ours has fallen season after season.
We were 22nd out of 24 teams last season in the Championship.

Annis knowing some of the club's they will inflate prices for our games ( like wed ) so ending up costing club a lot money!! But your right should have £20 cap for every away fan in championship though! :bluescarf:

Great idea.

Some of the away prices last season were shocking. Over £30 for Leeds, Sheff Weds and QPR if I remember.

Also last season was the first for some time that the club didn't subsidise any away trips during the season.

The league should introduce something like this but I can't expect the club to foot it as they got nothing to do with away ticket prices as it's the home teams that set the prices

The new Sky tv deal makes it far easier for Premiership clubs to be able to offer these price cuts.

Not so financilly viable for the Championship clubs.

Allan, I don't believe other clubs will do that as it would cause uproar.

I went to every PREM away game with City, paying £50 a ticket at some clubs, City were given £200,000 to give us cheap tickets they did it for 2 away games for us and spent about £30,000-£40,000 of the £200,000.
So we've got £160,000 left :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Great initiative and something we should have done years ago.

We have made great strides as a club in many areas and making sure our fantastic away support is both looked after and also appreciated should now be a priority. If its capped ticket prices, discounted travel or even just stuff for the youngsters it would go a big way to showing that the club appreciates and values the folks who always get behind the boys when we are away.

No we haven't.

It is my understanding that our club spent the rest of that money on making away fans experience of visiting the Cardiff City Stadium as enjoyable as possible.

So instead of using that money to help Cardiff fans travelling to away games they used it for the benefit of away fans travelling to Cardiff.

Only at Cardiff eh?

Thats partly true(£40,000 spent),but as far as I am concerned we should still have £160,000 left as it was meant for our fans.

Forget about rivalries for minute, this is what should happen for Cardiff fans, especially travelling faithful who shell out 100's and probably 1000's every year to follow the club.

If other clubs decide to hike up away tickets, two can play at that!!! Charging away fans more would subsidise the subsidy (I think that's what I mean lol).

Hats off to them down the road for looking after their own. Are you reading this Tan?

Surely if the money was given for a particular purpose then it can only be used for that purpose and has to be accounted for.

It can't just be used for general expenses surely?

Perhaps next time you're speaking to Choo or Dalman you coud ask them what's happened to that money as it certainly hasn't been used for the benefit of our travelling fans.
