' LATEST ON DECLAN JOHN & TOMMY O'SULLIVAN '

Cardiff City players Declan John and Tommy O'Sullivan have both been told they will be given a chance this coming season and will be part of the City squad.
New Cardiff City manager Paul Trollope has told them both its a fresh start for them both and its up to them to make their mark.

The last couple of seasons has been hard for both as they were either just left training with the kids or sent out on loan by previous Cardiff City manager Russell Slade and were never given a run of games in the first team for City.

Both players are local Welsh lads and there has been high hopes for both of them.

This will be great news for many Cardiff City fans :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Be good, but we will need a quality striker upfront.

I disagree with you on the striker we need another 10 to play the Welsh system, if Pilks moves on.

Fred/Zahore up front

Immers Pilks (could Cotterill play here ?)

John Whitts Ralls Fabio

manga Morrisson Connolly (Capt)

Away,O'Keefe instead of Whitts but O'Sullivan needs to push out Whitts which will be a tough call.

Peltier could be the 4th CB with Semi in place to push.

Declan john ??

if thats the extent of our hope then we will struggle this season

He should be loaned out to Newport - not a championship player in my opinion

That's great news... It's high time we started giving our promising youngsters hope that at least there is a chance of progression to the first team... Also hoping for intelligent progressive football under Trollope :bluescarf: :bluebird:

Rumours of Cotterill and we are supposed to be after a pacey winger....why play wing-backs? Plus, Gunnars should be captain and played in the deeper role he plays for Iceland.

Peltier could play in a system of 3 centre backs as a centre back.

Annis you are correct both players will be given their chance this season if they train to their ability and work hard and adapt and listen to what trollope tells them. Cardiff city need to get more Welsh home grown players in their squad and coming through the system. They have both been loaned out for experience last season so hopefully this will pay off for the Bluebirds!!

I Think Declan John needs to up his game if he has a future here.

The times I have seen him play for us he has been average at best and deplorable at worst.

But I support all of our players.

agree, I really don't rate him. the sad truth is, if he could get into this starting 11, then I think it says a lot about how much quality we really lack. any other season he would of been sold off/released well before now

It's about time Rhys Healey got a chance aswell.

His departure could mean a City revival for Declan John :ayatollah:

Cardiff City left-back Scott Malone to join Fulham - report

Reports say he is having a medical ahead of the move

Fulham are understood to be on the brink of signing Cardiff City left-back Scott Malone.

The 25-year-old is having a medical with a view to making the switch to Craven Cottage.

His departure could mean a City revival for Declan John. The 21-year-old fell out favour last season and spent time on loan at Chesterfield, but Wales' success at the Euros means their is a real appetite among the Bluebirds' faithful for more young Welsh talent in the team.

I rate Malone more than I rate john, and that's saying something.
