" VERY BUSY FOR PAUL TROLLOPE "

The next two weeks are going to be very busy for Cardiff City manager Paul Trollope, with him having to try his best to move on big wage earners Adam Le Fondre,Federico Macheda and Kagisho Dikgacoi.
At the moment there has not been much interest in any of them,is it due to their high wages and City wanting some kind of fees for some of them as well?

Aron Gunnarsson, City are hoping to sell him in the next 2 weeks.

Cardiff have just sold one of their star players Fabio Da Silva to Boro for £2million.

As to new players coming in Paul trollops hands are virtually tied as he has to continue looking for virtually free transfers until more players are sold.

Trollope has been 24/7 looking to strengthen his squad.

Aron Gunnarsson can be vital to getting late goals - throw-ins turn into corners.

He's been at Cardiff City for 5 years, so he the club inside out.

Long passing and work ethic for Iceland was outstanding. If Trollope can give him that confidence for CCFC then he could so important to us.

Why can't people see what a quality player we could have at our club if managed correctly?!

you are missing the point, Tan wants high earners and those who can get a fee out so he can increase his pocket money, I mean lower the wage bill!

We are going to be run on a shoestring, but they are forgetting fans won't watch crap just because it's their club, those days are long gone. 10k of s/t and dropping, less walk up and without a decent start, it is going to get worse. You have to speculate in football, that means spending money. We have the basis in defence and midfield (sort of) but the money needs to be spent on forwards.

Maybe we can take on a premiership player on loan that's meets our budgets or just over, we'll have to wait and see but we are desperate for one possibly two - and I think everyone, from fans to the club know it!

He's now played under 4 managers at Cardiff and none of them picked for whole seasons. In our promotion year Malky played him all the time but in the Prem he hardly figured, OGS didn't rate him and Slade certainly lost faith last year and there was a marked improvement in our midfield when O'Keefe replaced him. Now Trollope seems to have his reservations. It can't be just that none of them know how to play him.

I can't remember the last time we scored from one of his long throws and even if there has been an example that I've overlooked it's certainly less so hardly a justification to pick him. Many on here still don't think Whitts should play despite being consistently are top assister !!

My view is that he's just not sharp enough in that busy midfield area. I really like the guy and would never question his loyalty/commitment but I just can't see that we can turn down £2m for him when he will not be a regular.

He will get a decent salary on the back of the Euros and his value will only decrease if he sits on the bench for us. Selling for £2m is a bit of a no brainer in my opinion.

If we keep selling, which we will. We will keep dropping through the leagues. Our season ticket sales will also drop. If we revert back to League one or even League two eventually, we will be playing in a shiny 34,000 seater stadium (only filled for Welsh games), in front of maybe 4000 to 5000 fans. This is the vision of chairman Tan :bluebird:

People are saying , don't sell our best players , if they were our best players wouldn't they be playing every game ?
Fabio in the 2 and 1/2 seasons with us played less than 50% of the games ,same with Gunnarson .
So if we can get a fee for him too, great .
Macheda,La fondre and KG , there's almost £1 million a month being wasted with them. Over £10 million until their contracts are up, next June.
I can't see them leaving and I can't see anyone coming in , I'll be totally shocked and surprised ,if we do sign a striker or anyone of note.
I think we can just right this season off,and the next , attendance's will keep dropping , things will go from bad to worse .Tan will never invest in us again ,he's been screwed by first Malky and Moody and then by OGS.I would imagine Tan is trying his best to sell us , but with so many clubs for sale in better positions than us , I don't think he has much of a chance .
So he's lumbered with us and we are lumbered with him ,for the next few seasons at least .

Cake and eat it springs to mind. I fully support the sale of high earners. Tans dream was rebound. Quite rightly that has been reversed. Debt to equity was massive news for me. The club is slowly but surely trying to be run financially the right way. This will eventually lead to a sale to a new owner who hopefully has money to burn. Tan attempted and failed we cannot expect him to pump money in when we do not support his vision.

Tan's vision is about as credible as Trump's! He just wants to asset-strip so he can eventually sell, but it makes no sense because crowds will decrease and revenue also.

Tan has lost total interest in the Club,he walked away after the premiership relegation.
He knows he will make a loss,he is just limiting how much.
He will sell next season when the parachute payments finish and we are struggling in whichever league he leaves us in.
Ken choos rhetoric is just trying to make the club saleable when the time comes.

Will anyone buy a championship club with debt of £60m or more at this time ??? unless of course tan takes the loss :old:

That's why we won't see a top championship manager at Cardiff for a while. Trying to move deadwood on that are killing the clubs wage bill and looking for bargains to just survive the league.

My thoughts exactly. Loved him as a player before we signed him and he was class for us under Malky. Suffered since from bad management and coaching. Hopefully, Trollope can do something with him but I can't see it. Think he favour the likes of Ralls, Whittingham, O'Keefe, and Huws over Aron now.
