I said after the opening game of the season this is 'work in progress', again tonight you could see what Trollope is trying to do and we must show patience in my opinion.
But the hard truth is we need strengthening with at least two maybe three players.
If we go with this squad as it stands today then between now and Christmas I can envisage a tough few months in terms of results.
The build up play tonight was not too dissimilar to that of the first half performance against QPR.
The difference tonight was an opposing centre half had a nightmare first thirty minutes to gift City a two goal lead.
Am Impressed with the result, of course I am, but the overall team performance is lacking a cutting edge.
When the tempo is stepped up then we look a decent team but too many times players turn back to face our own goal when the ball is crying out to go forward with pace.
City did hit the post twice during the game, one of which led to first goal, but our attacking threat is limited and everyone can see we need strengthening up front, we need more pace in the team and I am praying against hope that we can somehow rectify those issues.
As I said at the start, I am a patient person in general and I am not going to turn on the manager who has changed the system, offering younger players the opportunity to shine but I just hope he can somehow find a deal in the basement bargain bucket because I don't believe there is much money in the coffers to spend.
Looking forward to going to Fulham on Saturday

The 352 system is essentially negative and defensive. The whole idea is to stop the other team scoring and hope to steal a goal on the break. This does not make for entertaining football. Possession is everything to limit the number of chances for the opposition. It's a way for teams with limited ability to get success against better opponents (that's why Wales use it). There are going to be a lot of 0-0s this season.
Last night was a good example of that. Why risk giving the ball away with reckless attacking when you have a 2 goal lead? This may be effective but don't expect fantastic entertainment.
