However, the call for more investment completely misses the point of FFP. It simply cannot be done because we are not generating enough income to invest huge amounts of cash in new players.

My opinion is that without the fans then you haven't got a football club, simple really.
Yet the club for the last 4 years have done everything against the fans wishes.
Without banging on too much about the rebrand, it was a complete disaster, lost loads of fans because of it and plenty that have not returned since.
The badge, I'm sorry and i think I'm in the minority here, but the badge is a compromise at best, the worm dragon for me just doesn't do it, if it ain't a welsh dragon then no dragon is best, again that one is my opinion.
The atmosphere at the stadium, those that think the stadium is not capable of producing an atmosphere are wrong, it's been proved you can, look at the Welsh games etc, the problem is they are not listening once again to the fans, stewarding/standing/singing those that do attend will know what I mean. On numores occasions it's been suggested of moving the fans so that we can create the banter with the away lads but that by all account will NOT be done either, can they not see that this will create a better atmosphere and maybe just maybe (sarcasm there) the word would get out that it's good again going to watch City, and a few more would return.
Now all these fans favourites being sold, I'm all for it making sense on a business front, but when that saving is not being invested back into the playing staff then surely the club is getting a even less attractive proposition to support yet alone buy, so more fans will not be attending this season I fear.
Fans of football clubs are fickle (me included) but everyone has thier limit too how much they can take, hence why people are not attending and numbers are dwindling at every point I have made above.
But it wouldn't be that difficult to turn around in my opinion, stewards being a little more lenient, and moving the fans to where they want to be can be implemented easily and quickly, that would be the start of creating the atmosphere.
However the club won't listen and Vinny true to his word (after the no red no investment) is not spending, yet a small investment to him could easily see the club turn around, and either make it a success for him or a appealing club for someone else to buy.
We are the 12th biggest city in the UK, the 3rd or 4th biggest single football club city in the UK, so sure,y a Premiership club city, and this does not include the surrounding areas where a lot of the die hards still attending are from, we have proved in the top flight that the crowds will come (fickle like I said) getting into the premiership on the right basis and we are a club that could bring the support to accomplish it.
Yet they dont listen ?!
Bring in a footballing CEO
Bring in a Director of football that can support the existing management team, Lenny is acting as an assistant so it's not him.
Bring in 3 or 4 key players
Do the things above to create the atmosphere within the stadium
Watch the fans return, paying fans mean more income, ffp naturally goes away.
For Tan that wouldn't cost a lot and he could create a legacy still.
Or at least create a club that investors would bite his hand off to buy, nowadays a premiership club with right setup is a good investment, I listened to a piece yesterday where they were saying that the TV money for the EPL is going to continue to grow as globally the brand is getting bigger and bigger each season.
Or do nothing by not listening, keep selling the best players and not replacing with anything decent and watch the attendances slip below 8k and eventually sell at a huge loss with a bad reputation.
Can they not see, will they not hear, cos they sure as hell don't tell us anything - 3 wise monkey jokes welcome.
Appologies for the rant, I'm usually very optimistic but perhaps even I'm getting to the point that enough is enough.

People also blamed red and said if we changed back to blue fans would come pouring back - they haven't. Drop the ticket prices, we said - people still haven't come back.
How many times have we all said, owners/players come and go but it is the fans that are the club - it's about time we took some responsibility as fans for where we are rather than blaming owner after owner.
There are clubs who are in worse positions than us or haven't had the 'success' we've seen over the last decade that consistently attract bigger crowds - why don't we hear excuses from them?! If we'd sold another 5000 ST's we might now have the striker we need or we might not be selling Marshall.
The reality is unless we are winning, people can't be bothered - it's the way it is now and it's the way it was long before VT's time.

Exactly, you can't win if your selling some of your best players and not replacing with as good or better. And when you don't the attendances drop and therefore the income, as I previously said I have not got all the answers, but the club don't seem to be doing anything positive to bring the income (fans) back, and my point therefore stands that with no fans then we don't or won't have a club to support.
