We need 3 keeper to cover injuries/suspensions.I doubt very much that this guy will be anything but cover. He won't get in Wilson's way if Wilson is any good.

id rather have our development keeper Luke Oreilly as 3rd choice backup while hes still getting game time for the development side

I agree, why waste the wage when we are meant to be cost cutting. Makes no sense.

Wilson is our number 1 keeper. Amos back up. Murphy cover if the either or both of the above 2 get injured. Remember, no loans available until January first now so 3 keepers is a must.

well whats point of having an academy side then if their position would be blocked by an old unknown player just eating up a wage not doing a lot ?

1. Whatever way you look at it you need three pro goalkeepers at a professional club.
2. He's probably being paid peanuts.

Who's O'Reily mate? Development youngster?
Fri Sep 02, 2016 7:19 pm
Yes mate, he's either 19 or 20 and signed a pro contract in 2015 I think.
I think he would have been ok as 3rd choice cover myself but to be fair I can see why others wouldnt to be honest.

I'd expect Ben Amos to be our number one, Ben Wilson 2nd choice, and then Murphy.

Good signing and was needed badly.
I don't see how supporters are finding this negative or don't understand it, are some of our fans really that delusional?
We had two keepers, one inexperienced and one on loan.
