' FEDERICO MACHEDA LATEST '
Former Manchester United and Cardiff City striker Federico Macheda is close to signing for Serie A newcomers Pescara in the Italian league, daily Il Messaggero say.
Macheda has also been on loan at Birmingham City and Nottingham Forest. His time at Championship club Birmingham was a successful one which persuaded Cardiff City to buy Macheda from United,but from there it seemed to go all down hill for the striker, who was then sent on loan by the Welsh club to Nottingham Forest where it just seemed to go from bad to worse.
Macheda returned to Cardiff City this season where he was told he had no future with the Welsh club, eventually the Welsh club it is believed paid up half Macheda's contract and he left by mutual consent.
So the player is currently a free agent now after his contract with Cardiff City was mutually terminated and has returned to Italy,where his agent has contacted a number of Italian clubs.

Will never forgive him ducking out of Danny Shittu's way to gift him a free header to score, but that's just one of hundreds of occasions he let us down with his gutless attitude and zero work ethic.

Never seen a player duck out of so many physical challenges, bit of a coward to be honest....he's no Phil Stant that's for sure!!!

he's got talent, but appears to lack application and dedication.
maybe the penny will drop with macheda. i doubt it, though. i don't understand what goes through the minds of people like macheda and ravel morrison. apply yourself for 10 years and earn tens of millions and experience success that hundreds of millions worldwide would give their right arm for. or go half arsed and be gladly jettisoned by a middle ranking club. what a waste.
