Cardiff City's Peter Whittingham and Anthony Pilkington are out of contract at the end of this season.

Would you give Peter Whittingham a new contract,one of Cardiff's longest ever serving players, he's 31 years old and currently on £20,000(basic) approx a week.
Whittingham has been a great servant to Cardiff City,very settled in Cardiff, has qualities,can score quality goals,but is slowing down and is he consistent enough?



Would you give Anthony Pilkington a new contract, our current top scorer,moved up from midfield to tempory striker, he's 28 years old and currently on £15,000(basic) approx a week?

Came from Norwich City,where he was injury prone,has had injuries here,but when played one of our better players,very consistent and can score goals,would you give Pilks a new contract?

Definitely

They are two of our best players on their day yes whittingham is coming to the end of his career but like they always say class Is permanent and whitts has plenty of it.

Plus I'm sure both would be keen to stay, I heard on here that pilks asked the club about opening negotiations over a new deal, is that true?

Agreed, both excellent performers at Championship level and there would be no shortage of interested clubs if either were to become available.

100% give whitts and pilks at least 2 yr whitts still the best footballer at the club pilks chips in with his goals its a no brainer keep em both

Hope that's the case.

It will be interesting to see if these two are offered new contracts but equally important as far as I'm concerned is the situation with Harris and Healey. Harris is getting a chance at the moment and is making a difference whenever he gets on the pitch, probably on peanuts compared to Whitts & Pilkington but, in my opinion, at 28 he offers more in the future certainly in this wingback role.


More important he has pace and we really need that in the team.

^^^^Sounds right . Guess depends on how much more we are cost cutting. Maybe a coaching (future) incentives for whitts
