' LATEST NEWS ON BEN AMOS '

Cardiff City's new goalie Ben Amos who signed this season from Bolton Wanderers (ex Manchester United)due to them not affording his wages in division 1 and Amos not wanting to play in a lower division is yet to make his Bluebird debut.

Apparently according to fans I know at Bolton, Ben Amos was on £15,000 a week and Cardiff City agreed to the same contract.
Bolton just could not sustain that wage in the lower divisions and you can understand that.

David Marshall was on £25,000 a week approx.

Ben Wilson is on £1,000 a week approx plus big bonuses if he starts.

Ben Amos came to Cardiff expecting first team football.

It is expected that Amos will make his debut this Saturday v Leeds United :thumbright: :bluebird: :ayatollah:

you know I remember there was a lot of upset fans a few years ago, when city announced the signing of Norwich relegated goalkeeper David Marshall. who didn't have the best season...... so he could turn out to be a gem.

Well the last keeper we had with links with Man U ,he wasn't too bad (Tom Heaton) was he.
In fact I seem to remember a lot rated him on here as better than Marshall.
Also Marshall wasn't really rated until Heaton left.
So give the boy some backing and who knows .

Fantastic news Annis, don't know what the reason behind Wilson starting was.. if he rates him or Amos needed a bit of training first and hasn't fully settled but Murphy or him should be starting so hopefully Amos will put in a decent shift and get a debut clean sheet. :ayatollah:

This is fine but because of the way supporters have moaned about Wilson I hope now the club ignore supporters and look after our youngsters would hate to see poor Tommy Osulivan play make a mistake and get attacked on here

Tom Heaton ex-United graduate has forged a very good career. We had 2 great keepers at once! Goes to show the depth we used to have

Ive seen a lot of Ben Amos as, despite living in Wigan, Boltons ground is the closest to my home address - and I get to photograph them quite a bit.

Personally I think he is a good keeper. Ive seen him pull off some fantastic saves - my only concern is that he is a bit quiet. But guess that can change
