Do points mean pounds?

I read somewhere that in the Premiership, to ensure the mid-table teams keep making a bit of an effort until the season's end, when the final table is confirmed there's a payment for every team, the amount determined by exactly where in the table each team finishes. The higher you finish, the more money you get.

I presume there's something similar in the Championship; does anyone know if there is and, if so, how it works?

Or perhaps there's some other kind of incentive? (Let's set aside 'pride' and 'honour' and that kind of stuff for now!)

I don't,but I rem them saying how the club at the bottom did not get as much as the clubs above etc and how the higher you finished,the more money you got,but you still got a fortune finishing bottom

Upto 2013 it was only top 2 who got money in championship don't know if case now?

I think I heard on maybe Radio wales once when they were talking about Warnock and what sort of budget he should get, can't remember who said it but I think they said every club gets 6m at the start of the season in the championship and the money is obviously considerably less in League one.

Now that I think about I am really not sure where I heard it but I do definitely remember hearing this either on the radio or a championship game that was on sky maybe, anyone have any idea at all?

Upto 2013 it was only top 2 who got money in championship don't know if case now! Took another look at payments very complicated but gather champ clubs got 30% of what the 3rd year parachute payment was? (Except 3 relegated clubs from premier) Changing again with new TV deal.
