Why we simply cannot afford to lose Warnock!

Cardiff City registered a thumping win over last placed relegation-threatened Rotherham United by five goals without a reply, thus jotting 11 Championship wins in 22 games under the tutelage of Neil Warnock. Cardiff might be placed 12th in the league table and 13 points adrift of Sheffield Wednesday, who are placed sixth, but the former Rotherham manager is arguably the right man to take the side forward.
Deciding to give the steering wheel to the 68-year-old is one of the best decisions the Bluebirds have made in recent times. He has laid stress on building a side but then, with the stringent budget that he has been forced to operate on, Warnock hasn’t shied away from voicing his concern and the likelihood of the conclusion of his association with the Cardiff City Stadium-based club. A lack of financial muscle is evident but then, letting their current manager go after showing glimpses of hope and promise should be the last thing the Bluebirds should do.
Warnock has always been an advocate of bringing out the best from the men he possesses at his disposal. He puts the focus on team cohesiveness and camaraderie, has excellent man-management skills and has a good understanding of the tactical nous, which is why he became a fan-favourite at the blink of an eye at Cardiff City.
When he took the charge of the club, the outfit was struggling on each and every frontier and after the resurrection which Warnock has brought about, the entire squad seems rejuvenated and aspires to excel every time they go forward to face a challenge on the pitch. The voices from the Cardiff City faithful with respect to the concern of having Warnock beyond this season make sense, doesn’t it?
His leadership has been spectacular and he is asking for a transfer kitty of around £6 million to get hold of a couple of signings or so to carry his project forward. A word of approval from the board for a relaxation of the purse’s strings should come to him as early as possible for the sake of instilling momentum for the remaining fixtures as well as for the next season. Cardiff City’s squad might be training hard and getting a few positive results but Warnock is still far away from forming a side which could be a genuine top-six contender. But then, he is the right man to navigate the side to the shore in the coming season(s).
