Cardiff City today virtually sealed their Championship status for another season by passing the 'magic' 50-point barrier with a win against Ipswich Town :thumbright: :bluebird:

Cardiff have now only lost one game in their last eight games.

Zohore was superb today, but so was Sol Bamba, Solid as usual.

Cardiff went in at half-time drawing, but deserved to be in front after having 12 shots to Ipswich's 4.

OVER ALL CARDIFF CITY TOTALLY DOMINATED THIS GAME.

For the first 25 mins Cardiff had most of the play, but Ipswich scored against the run of play in the 24th min, a free kick by Luke Chambers.

Then Ipswich were in control and in the 36th min a Kenneth Zohore left foot volley and it was 1-1 :bluebird: :bluebird:

Holier hit the post and Zohore had a good shot.

Zohore was superb today, but also Sol Bamba was as well and for Sol Bamba was solid.

Kenneth Zohore helps Bluebirds shoot down Ipswich

Vital Football

Kenneth Zohore struck twice for Cardiff in a 3-1 triumph to leave Ipswich without a win in seven Sky Bet Championship matches.

Cardiff: Kenneth Zohore helps Bluebirds shoot down Ipswich

The visitors had drawn their last six league matches, but gave themselves a chance to break that run when Luke Chambers headed home in the first half.

But Zohore turned the game on its head with strikes either side of half-time to make it nine goals from his last 10 matches.
Joe Bennett completed the job with just under half an hour to play as Cardiff claimed their first victory in five matches.
The hosts forced the issue in the opening exchanges and almost took the lead through Peter Whittingham's left footed free-kick.
But the Tractor Boys responded with a counter-attack moments later. Tom Lawrence broke into the Cardiff half and delivered an inch-perfect ball to David McGoldrick, but Allan McGregor produced a stunning save to deny him.
Ipswich made no mistake from another dangerous Lawrence cross to take the lead after 24 minutes.
Sol Bamba clattered into Jordan Spence on the left wing, and Chambers rose highest at the far post to head the resulting free-kick home.
Cardiff came close to levelling with a free-kick of their own, but Ipswich goalkeeper Bartosz Bialkowski reacted well to push Bennett's effort over the bar.
Zohore saw a tame shot saved moments later, but he was not to be denied his eighth goal in 10 games.

Jazz Richards whipped a cross into he far post and captain Sean Morrison headed the ball back across goal for the Danish striker to power home from close range after 36 minutes.
Junior Hoilett was cruelly denied a goal that would have given his side the lead when he turned and shot against the post from inside the penalty area.
But they completed the turnaround five minutes into the second half thanks to in-form striker Zohore.
The 23-year-old flicked a long ball onto Hoilett, who sent a deft back heel into the path of Zohore, and he calmly finished with his left-foot past Bialkowski.
And the game was up for Mick McCarthy's men after 63 minutes when Bennett scored his first goal for the Bluebirds.
Harris sprinted down the left wing before cutting inside past Cole Skuse and feeding the left-back, who fired in his first league goal since 2014.
Bluebirds skipper Morrison showed his defensive qualities to get in the way of a Brett Pitman shot to maintain the two-goal lead.
Hoilett should have made it four when he was found by Pilkington in the box, but he shot straight at the goalkeeper.

We started a bit slow woke up when they scored and Zohore was brilliant once again and as soon as we scored the equalizer and and made it 2-1 we were quite comfortable after we got that 3rd goal to make it more comfortable a decent performance against a solid team and Zohore just keeps getting better and now on 10 goals for the season and Bennett getting his first goal to well done to Warnock and the boys :thumbright: :ayatollah: :bluebird:

Ryan,
And to be fair we already had Harris and Zohore here before Warnock came, but thankfully Warnock knows how to play them :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird:

I thought our 2 full backs were excellent today, both going forward and defensively although Ipswich didn't offer much in the second half. It was a very enjoyable game especially after the dreary Brum game last week. I said to my son at half time that Ipswich were there for the taking and the only disappointment was KZ not getting a hat trick and going off injured. I hope his injury is not too serious because without him we will struggle to score goals.

I think we are starting to see the shape of next years team. 4231, but when Halford come on 4141. whitts got better as the the game slowed down.
With this direct high pace game, it just pasts whitts by until it slows down in the last 20. He can do a job of slowing the game down if we are winning as a sub, but the players are starting to be programmed to pump it forward when he tried to play the possession game I am not sure where he goes.

Still unsure on Holiett, he is very good, but does he really suit us for fancy money.

I have to own up, i had Harris down as L1, he definitely is not. Nooney put in a shift and the full backs are great.

Slightly disappointed we brought Pilks on,i wanted to see one of the kids

I'm not sure what Hoiletts on? I heard because he never had a club and knew Warnock, that we got him cheap as low as £12,000 a week, but I reckon he will be costing us about £15,000 -£18,000 next season.

Pilks for me can go and Noone.

Harris getting better all the time :bluebird:

Whitts for me not consistent enough.

A fully fit Halford will do a good job.
