Neil Warnock will need a fairly big squad for next season at least 22 players (as we have No DVP players to come in).

But will any of these current players be good enough as back ups?

Rickie Lambert at best could only be a back up striker as he is carrying to many injuries,Lambert is currently costing Cardiff City £25,000 a week approx, what can City do with the striker as he has another year left? ?

Do we bring Emyr Hughes back from Ipswich Town this June or let Ipswich take over his contract and pay some money for him?

Brian Murphy is a back up goalie and is currently on approx £1,500 a week?

Stuart O'Keefe Gone to MK Dons on loan till June,but really making an impact there,do we need O'Keefe next season?

Matthew Kennedy Gone to Plymouth on loan till June, but for me I would let Plymouth have him?


Goalie Ben Wilson returns from Rochdale where he is currently on loan till this June.

I think you get rid of the majority of them -

Give Huws a preseason and see if he fits into Warnocks dynamic, and keep Murphy -it would be a massive mistake to release him after the issues we had this season letting both senior GKs go- and even if he does end up 3rd choice he'd be excellent to help Bellamys Boys through the DVP squad.

The rest I'm afraid for me are surplus to requirements and better off SELLING to help aid Warnocks rebuild

I would like to see a major overhaul somewhere along these lines.

Don't know if the budget would stretch this far or if these players would be available next season but would be happy for NW to join the dots and fill in the relevant positions to burn up the Championship next season.

i thought Warnock type player too, but he bombed him out at Palace and same here. a few have posted they have fallen out? but gone if we can unload him thinks me.
