The Bluebirds have shown their resilience on numerous occasions after going behind this season

It was the fifth time in the league this season that the Bluebirds have come from behind to win a match, the best total of any side in the second tier of English football.

A 3-1 victory over Ipswich Town highlighted just how far Cardiff City have come under Neil Warnock this season.

The Bluebirds produced an assured an confident display to dispose of Mick McCarthy's side and move themselves 11 points clear of the Championship's relegation zone, the same number they are now away from the division's top six.

But what is more telling is that they collected all three points against the Tractor Boys despite falling behind at Cardiff City Stadium.

Luke Chambers headed home Wales international Tom Lawrence's cross midway through the opening half to give the visitors the perfect start in the Welsh capital.

But goals from in-form striker Kenneth Zohore either side of half-time along with a 63rd minute effort from Joe Bennett - his first goal for the club - ensured Warnock's men made it an unhappy 25th anniversary in management for McCarthy.

It was the fifth time in the league this season that the Bluebirds have come from behind to win a match, the best total of any side in the second tier of English football.

Warnock has now seen his side register a tick in the win column after falling behind on four occasions in the league, against Ipswich, Derby, Bristol City and Wolves while the Bluebirds secured a 2-1 comeback win over Rotherham courtesy of a Rickie Lambert brace under former boss Paul Trollope in September.

Fulham and Nottingham Forest have both come from behind to win a league match four times this season while Wolves, Blackburn, Bristol City, Brighton, Barnsley and Sheffield Wednesday have all achieved the feat on three occasions.

It is also worth noting that of the 14 goals scored by the Bluebirds in those five comeback victories, six of them came in the final 15 minutes which is further proof - if it was needed - that you should never leave a Cardiff match until the referee blows the final whistle.

That's an ominous statistic for other teams to fear next season... that's the sort of resilience that wins this league!
