England fans have been criticized by the FA for their xenophobic and provocative chanting at the Dortmund stadium. A substantial number booed the German national anthem and proceeded to sing songs about the second world war.
When it comes to dominate nationalism , they have a terrible record for bigotry and prejudice.
I could just about hear it on tv, but it seemed to be deliberately muted.

It's football and footballs all about rivalry, I happen to think singing about the second WW, in this context is funny, Rangers Fans were singing My Grandad shot your Grandad iko iko an ay in Leipzig, the Krauts thought it was funny. Stop taking offence on other people's behalf. That said booing the anthem is sh:te, thankfully Welsh fans would never dream of doing it to the English

There are/should be limits of 'acceptability' and the England fans cross the line frequently, yet are the
FIRST to bleat when (like in France) the 'compliments' are returned
A few England fans won't be travelling away again anytime soon once footage is reviewed

Was it that 9 German bombers song they were singing? All that's going on in the world, especially in London that very day and this makes news.

No violence there so certain media have to pick on them for something.

It's basically an attack on working class culture.

Not many of them will be troubling Mensa in the near future, cretins what an advert for the UK!

Not being funny, but how can you arrange a bloody game between England and Germany and NOT expect songs and chants referencing WW2?
Jesus, one of the reasons that match is such a big deal in international football is due to not only the footballing history between the two countries, but the political/war history too.

Possibly the worst song in football.

Got sent an email from the English FA about the behaviour of the minority of fans. According to the email a lot of fans have raised issues about the behaviour of other fans that were there
They want photographic evidence and you to write in of any incidents so they can pursue and ban fans they feel have stepped out of line.
Seriously wonder what will happen when we play Scotland away in June - that's a whole different ball game

The German fans love it just as much as the English. They were all having photos together outside before the game. The media are living in the past and the only ones that think it's wrong lol
