NETHERLANDS SACK BLIND
Danny Blind has been sacked as Netherlands head coach following their World Cup Qualifier defeat to Bulgaria.
Fred Grim will take over as interim coach for Tuesday’s friendly with Italy in Amsterdam.
A statement read: "We have respect for what Danny meant for us and for the team during his tenure but the results unfortunately are disappointing."
Sat fourth in qualifying Group A, six points adrift of leaders France, the Dutch are starring at the prospect of failing to qualify for a second major tournament in a row, having failed to reach Euro 2016.
