Fair play good work from the Transfer Committee to get a sell on clause like that in the deal. How many previous players have we moaned about not having a sell on clause. The club are learning :occasion5:

Yes well done the the club in clearing up malkys mess

The mess this committee has done to our club, I could write a book alone on it  :bluebird:

I've already told you the answers many times before.

Its already been stated by Bamba and Hoilett they would of gone where ever Warnock went and they thought they were off to Forest with him.

Bennett and Zohore were failing badly and you know that until Warnock took control of them both and Warnocks not convinced by Bennett.

Zohore was a total failure.

As to McGregor, you surely don't want me to show how much money we lost, From Marshall, to Ben Amos to McGregor, £Millions, became a nightmare.

I REALLY REALLY HOPE SO :thumbright: :thumbright:

That would be brilliant, what a gamble, Hull staing up and Marshall having to play 25 Premier Games and we got Ben Amos at £16,000 a week.

Wez, Has Marshall played a minimum of 25 Premier games

Wez, just concede it was awful business regarding goalies.

So he hasn't this season which got us the other £2.5mill?

Re: ' Malky Mackay in tears '

Fri Apr 21, 2017 3:47 pm

The goalkeeping situation was a mess, I don't think selling Moore or Marshall was a mistake but selling both with such little time to bring someone in was madness. It happens though and Amos will be gone next season and McGregor has done well the second half of the season.

Staying up gets us more money, its not aweful business he can't even get in the hull team

Correct he can't and by not getting in could cost us a staggering £2.5mill

I think everyone with any common sense can see the transfer committee messed up with the goal keeping situation at the start of the season and then to bring in Amos to replace was even worse.

I assume we paid all of his wages that he was on at Bolton so if that is the case you can see why they are in the shite and why football in general has lost the plot - 16k a week for not even mediocre goal keeper. Enough said :o

On the flip side they seem to be finally getting their house in order and seem to be trying to do things the right way. They must be realistic as Cardiff City has been a charity case for to long and by having the committee in place will help us be more cost efficient.

So when good players come in give them the credit but when poor signings come in they are accountable. People have to accept that

The goalkeeping situation was badly handled although the timing didn't help. From what I remember Moore was sold first for £500k which in all honesty was good business. But almost straight away Hull made an offer for Marshall which was also good all things considered.

The mistake was Amos who was the ultimate in panic signings and how the hell he has ever been given a contract of £16kpw is beyond belief  but even worse is us agreeing to pay it on a season long loan.

The 'committee' has got a patchy history and I agree they seem to be slowly getting their house in order.

Re: ' Malky Mackay in tears '

Annis how on earth was Bennett failing he was injured up until Warnock came in and was highly rated by Brighton and Wednesday when he had loan spells there? And Zohore never got a tidy run of games and only started like 2 games for us?

To say they was failing is very unfair considering neither was used until Warnock came in, they both have proved key players and Warnock has done to get the best out of them but to say they was failing before hand is absurd considering they never had any thing to show how they failed.
