Cardiff City defender Bruno Ecule Manga looks set to leave the club after a break down in contract talks.
The Gabon international, who’s contract expires next month had a faint chance in re-signing with the Bluebirds but it now seems according to Turkish outlet AMKSpor that contract talks between Cardiff City and the players representatives have broken down.
Manga’s agent believes that the player is warming to the idea of playing for the 20 time Turkish Süper Lig champions and that they will get a better deal if Manga signs with Galatasaray rather than remaining with Cardiff.
The 28 year-old has enjoyed a run in the side since April after a few months out with an injury and was played by Warnock even though Manga’s representatives had reportedly missed meeting with the Cardiff manager as he looked to tie the defender down to a longer deal.
Speaking to WalesOnline back in April, Warnock wasn’t optimistic that the £4m defender signed from Lorient in 2014, would sign a new deal.
“I can’t see Bruno staying at the club at he moment.”
However, there could be some hope of Manga staying at the club but a decision could be made as late as June.
Manga has made 67 appearances in a Cardiff City shirt, scoring 5 goals in the process. His performances in the 2015/2016 season saw him awarded the ‘Player of the Year’ award as his defensive performances and his ability as a ball-playing centre-back won over Bluebirds fans.
Fortunately for Cardiff, Warnock has spoken of a replacement already being lined-up for Manga should he leave and with Matthew Connolly, Sol Bamba and Sean Morrison all still at the club, the centre-back department still looks strong for Cardiff even despite his possible departure.
