" Rickie Lambert Not Wanted "

Thu May 11, 2017 7:52 am

93.2 % of Cardiff fans don't want to see Rickie Lambert at Cardiff City next season in a media Wales poll and I don't blame them.

The striker totally failed this season for Cardiff City and continues to be injury prone.
The ex WBA and Liverpool striker is costing Cardiff City at least £25,000 a week and has another year left on his contract.

It is believed that Neil Warnock will try and loan the injury prone striker out.

My opinion it should be 100% a NO.

I didn't vote but personally I just want a striker that works, no matter who that might be!

Contract worth c.£1.3m over the next 12 months, which is phenomenal for the return City have had. But, the club (maybe Paul Trollope personally?) needs to take most of the blame, as once again they signed a player who they knew to be injured, albeit out of some sort of desperation

I believe it's a tough one to resolve, as to get rid would mean a massive financial write-off but the fact is Rickie Lambert hs (to date) brought nothing to the table

As an aside, his annual wages (not sure if that includes any bonuses) cost around £85 per attending fan at an average crowd of 15k which is put into perspective when you equate that as a percentage of the amount attending fans pay for a season ticket! ;) :ayatollah:

Spoke to a mate who was travelling up through the midlands, stopped at the Brum services, and saw RL doing a bad job of parking an Enterprise removal Van, think this was Tuesday, he didn't ask if he was finished in Cardiff for good, though he got the impression he was retiring.

Trollope panic buy. Won't harp on about it being a disaster as its been eclipsed by the appointment of NW and we move on.

He got us a few points and without those points we may have been further down the league

Thanks for the few hours you have played this season it's been a joy
