MIDDLESBROUGH SHOULD SIGN THIS CARDIFF PLAYER IF THEY WANT TO BOUNCE BACK TO THE PREMIER LEAGUE

After succumbing to defeat at the hands of Champions elect, Chelsea, Middlesbrough were on Monday night, condemned to relegation back to the Sky Bet Championship.

Boro had only found their place in the top flight at the start of the season, but a poor run of form over the second half of the season has seen the Teeside club go down with a whimper.

The sacking of Spanish boss, Aitor Karanka, was a possible turning point in their season, and perhaps bosses at the club will be questioning whether this decision was indeed, the right one to make.

However, decisions have been made, and it looks likely that it will be current caretaker boss, Steve Agnew, who leads his team into the new campaign.

Middlesbrough’s greatest downfall this year has been their inability to find the back of the net, and this is something that will need to be addressed this summer.

Rudy Gestede will surely find his level in the second tier as he has done on multiple occasions in the past, but Agnew will need to add firepower to his front line.

One man who could provide the answer is Cardiff City striker, Kenneth Zohore.

The Belgian has been the Bluebird’s star performer this year, and has struck 12 goals in 24 Championship starts this season.

Adding another 5 assists to his game, the 23 year old has proven deadly in South Wales.

Their rumours that Middlesborough had been looking at a Championship striker and the one making the headlines last season was Welsh Club Cardiff City's Kenneth Zohore.

Middlesbrough will surely fight for an automatic return back to the Premier League, and Agnew will certainly have funds to utilise this summer.

A swoop for a proven Championship scorer in Zohore would represent an excellent addition to the Middlesbrough squad, and Agnew would do well to consider a move for the striker.

With the Welsh club still in a financial mess, Zohore could be picked up on the cheap.

I would not be surprised to see a bid or two coming in for Kenneth Zohore this Summer, but thankfully Neil Warnock has stated strongly Johore is Not for sale :thumbright: :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird:

The problem is the more Zohore is in the media, the more chance other clubs could take an interest.
