Leeds United Release Eleven Players
Wednesday 17th May 2017
Six players have been shown the door at Elland Road, plus five loan players also departing.
Of Leeds United’s six loan players at the club, only Pontus Jansson has agreed a permanent stay.
Jansson’s centre back Kyle Bartley is set to return to Swansea City, although reliable journalist Phil Hay believes that they will pursue a permanent deal for the 25-year-old.
Hay thinks that Leeds will try to re-sign Hadi Sacko too but he returns to his parent club for now.
Mo Barrow and Matt Grimes also return to Swansea while Alfonso Pedraza heads back to Spain.
Leeds also announced that six players had been released.
Academy quartet Jack Vann, Alex Purver, Billy Whitehouse and Michael Taylor will leave on a free with first team duo Jordan Botaka and Ross Turnbull also on their way out.
