Ipswich town are set to bid £750K for Darren Bent. Derby want to thin their squad, so likely to be accepted.

Makes the deal for lambert look even worse doesnt it, at least bent can still run without pulling something

The Lambert deal was done by people who are clueless on football deals, signing an injured player who had only scored 8 goals in his last three years, WBA must thought Xmas had come early.

yes probably.. it was Bent and not the club that triggered the recent year extension written in his contract which suggests he was pretty confident it was top money.
bit surprised its Ipswich interested for that reason.
