Norwich City are close to appointing their new manager

Norwich City are close to appointing a new manager, who is believed to be German, but has remained unnamed at this stage.

Thursday 18th May 2017

Norwich have been without a permanent manager since Alex Neil was sacked in early March, with Alan Irvine overseeing the remainder of the Sky Bet Championship season.

The Canaries endured a disappointing return to the Championship, which ultimately cost Neil his job in March, with Irvine eventually guiding the club to an eighth-placed finish.

A host of managers have been linked with the vacant post at Carrow Road, including Fleetwood Town’s manager Uwe Rosler, who the Eastern Daily Press understand is under the consideration of Norwich’s sporting director Stuart Webber.

Rosler led Fleetwood to the League One play-offs this season, where they were knocked out by Bradford City, and fits TEAMtalk’s description of a German manager.
