Gareth Bale is fit... and ready to win the UEFA Champions League again

Gareth Bale has given himself and Real Madrid a huge Uefa Champions League boost after being declared fit for for the club's final La Liga game of the season away to Malaga.

The Welsh talisman is desperate to play in Real's showdown with Italian giants Juventus in his home city of Cardiff on June 3, but hasn't pulled on his boots since April because of a calf problem.

However, Bale has been named in Zinedine Zidane's 25-man squad for their tilt at the Spanish title in Malaga on Sunday as he returns to action.

He hopes to get some game time to prove his fitness for the Juventus clash at the National Stadium of Wales, also known as the Principality Stadium.

Real Madrid v Juventus: The superstars are coming

Real Madrid only need a draw against Malaga to clinch their first La Liga title since 2012. It would be Bale's first Spanish League crown, even though he has two Champions League winner's medals to his name.

Barcelona, the only side who can halt Real, need to win at home to Eibar and hope their huge rivals slip up.

Bale has not featured since limping off in the first half of the 3-2 home defeat to Barcelona back in April.

But boss Zidane said: "Everyone will travel, everyone needs to be ready for the remaining games."

There have been reports in Spain suggesting Bale will be left out of the Champions League final, with Isco chosen ahead of him.

Zidane, though, has always been a staunch supporter of the Welsh ace and will want to work him into the starting XI.
