Three Hull City players called up for Scotland

Three Hull City players have been included in the Scotland squad to take on England in June.

Andy Robertson, Allan McGregor and David Marshall have all been selected to be part of Gordon Strachan's squad that will host the Three Lions on June 10 in a crucial FIFA World Cup qualifier.

Robertson meets up with the squad after a productive season on the domestic front, establishing himself as one of the best young left-backs in the Premier League even if he could not save the Tigers from relegation.

Similarly McGregor travels having enjoyed an excellent second half of the season by all accounts. After missing the opening months of the season through injury, the goalkeeper was loaned to Championship club Cardiff City in January and his from in Wales has led to a recall to the national side.

However, the inclusion of Marshall is perhaps the most surprising. The 32-year-old has been forced to watch on from the dugout this calendar year at City with his latest start ending in misery as he conceded seven against Tottenham Hotspur.

With just five qualifying games remaining, Scotland must beat England at Hampden Park to give themselves the best chance of reaching the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
