According to the print edition of The Sun on Sunday (21 May, page 61) via HITC Sport, Southampton will demand £7m for in-demand striker Sam Gallagher this summer.
Sam Gallagher is a target for a number of Championship clubs after impressing on loan at Blackburn Rovers in the 2016/17 season.
The towering centre forward provided a strong physical and aerial presence up top and formed a good partnership with Danny Graham.
The 21-year-old netted 11 Championship goals for Rovers but could not quite help them to safety.
With Manolo Gabbiadini, Jay Rodriguez, Charlie Austin and Shane Long on Southampton’s books, Gallagher’s chances of first team football appear to be bleak.
As he enters the final year of his contract, the England under-20 international is being targeted by a number of Championship clubs.
Aston Villa, Cardiff, Wolverhampton Wanderers and recently relegated Sunderland have all been linked with the promising striker, who is now being valued at £7m by the Saints.
