Three more men have been arrested in connection with the Manchester terror attack, as Britain remains on critical alert amid fears suicide bomber Salman Abedi did not act alone.

As armed soldiers prepare to guard "key locations" across London, the Ministry of Defence announced that the Changing the Guard ceremony at Buckingham Palace has been cancelled today to redeploy police officers.

Greater Manchester Police revealed on Wednesday that three men have been arrested in the south of the city in connection with the concert bomb attack. It follows the arrest yesterday of a 23-year-old man, who remains in custody.

Theresa May announces raise in UK terror threat level to critical

Theresa May made announced the change this evening in Downing Street following an emergency COBRA meeting.

She said the increase meant members of the armed forces could replace police officers in certain responsibilities, allowing these officers to put their efforts elsewhere.

Mrs May said it was possible a "wider group of individual" could be behind yesterday's attack at the Ariana Grande concert in Manchester Arena.

Speaking in Downing Street tonight following an emergency COBRA meeting, she said: "The work undertaken throughout the day has revealed it is a possibility we cannot ignore that there is a wider group of individuals linked to this attack."

She said: “This means that their assessment is not only that an attack remains highly likely but that a further attack may be imminent.”

The last time the threat level was this high was 13 June 2007.

This was followed by the discovery of two car bombs in London on June 29 and the Glasgow Airport attack on June 30.

Theresa May has increased the terror threat level to 'critical' following the Manchester attack
The news comes less than 24 hours after 22 people were killed and 120 injured after a bomb exploded as fans left an Ariana Grande concert at Manchester Arena last night.

Police have now named suicide bomber Salman Abedi as being behind the atrocities.

The 22-year-old, believed to have been born in Manchester and of Libyan descent, is thought to have attended the Manchester Islamic Centre along with his parents and siblings.

Everyone on the lists and been watched should be pulled in and if any strong evidence deported or locked up.

Jodie Marsh sparks Twitter outrage with post calling for ‘everyone on a terrorist watch list to be deported’ after Manchester terror attack

Tuesday 23rd May 2017

FORMER glamour model Jodie Marsh launched into a furious Twitter rant calling for those on terror watch lists to be rounded up and deported in the wake of last night’s devastating Manchester suicide bombing.

The star also called for the death penalty to be brought back in the tirade after 22 people including children were killed at an Ariana Grande concert at the Manchester Arena.

But the 38-year-old's comments sparked outrage from followers while others pointed out that many on watch lists were British citizens.

Jodie wrote: "Starting today, we need to round up everyone on a terrorist watch list & deport them all. No room in our prisons so get rid of them.

"I hope these radicalised terrorists know they are weak, brain washed losers with no mind of their own & that their whole life is pointless.

The Terrorist

The suicide bomber who killed 22 people and injured dozens more at the Manchester Arena has been named as 22-year-old Salman Abedi.

Born in Manchester in 1994, the second youngest of four children his parents were Libyan refugees who came to the UK to escape the Gaddafi regime.

His mother, Samia Tabbal, 50, and father, Ramadan Abedi, a security officer, were both born in Libya but appear to have emigrated to London before moving to the Fallowfield area of south Manchester where they have lived for at least ten years.

He grew up in the Whalley Range area and attended Whalley Range High School before apparently working at Didsbury Mosque in 2013.

The thing is, as bad as it sounds We're prob safer being able to monitor these people knowing where they are. It would be like cutting off your informants. The police stop a shed load of potential attacks through this.

Rather them not be here to be honest. You will never stop a suicide bomber.

The English Defence league held a demonstration of hate last night in Manchester. It was not long before decent Mancunians were telling them their extremist views were not wanted. We should all stand together as a community against such barbaric atrocities.

True... Not much point in bringing back the death penalty either, these people are already prepared to blow themselves up. :(

Ship them to a remote island the other side of the world then blow up the island with 1000s of them on it, that's the way I'd go about it.

I agree. Stand together and wait until they do it again. Then we can all stand together again and wait until the next one goes off. The leaders of the political parties can make a recorded speech, save them having to repeat themselves every time innocent children die on our streets. We can all keep standing together while they keep killing us.

Greater Manchester Police revealed on Wednesday that three men have been arrested in the south of the city in connection with the concert bomb attack. It follows the arrest yesterday of a 23-year-old man, who remains in custody.

It comes after Scotland Yard confirmed that troops are being deployed to sites including Buckingham Palace, Downing Street, the Palace of Westminster and embassies.

The military will replace armed police at many locations under Operation Temperer, which is being enacted after security experts warned the Government that another terrorist attack could be imminent.

The authorities are seeking to establish if Abedi, the Manchester suicide bomber who left 22 people dead, was part of a wider network.

Amber Rudd, the Home Secretary, said on Wednesday that it is "likely" he was not acting alone as she confirmed up to 3,800 troops can be deployed across the UK.

Prime Minister Theresa May has raised the threat level to the highest possible rating, meaning another atrocity is expected. She said a "wider group of individuals" could have been involved in the Manchester Arena blast rather than just Abedi.

Hatred, divisiveness, civil war blaming innocent people how will that help. Thank goodness the vast majority of British people know that this is a very small percentage of people who have been radicalised and want to change our way of life. That will not happen because as a nation we will never ever accept bombing. Stop peddling the English Defence league propaganda of hate it is repulsive.

We will never accept bombing. Think you need to open your eyes a bit. It's happening. We can refuse to accept bombing all we like, try telling that to those who wish us harm.

It does seem a bit far fetched but in the 2015 general election the Tory party were fined £100,000 pounds for sending coaches and paid workers around the country and not declaring it on their election expenses. The Tories are desperate not to lose this election. Anything is possible. Power has corrupted the rich and powerful. Their interests are best served by a weak and wobbly May.

If we are going to be that ridiculous may as well blame them for the events in France, Germany, Turkey, etc. Why not go the whole hog and blame them for the 7/7 London bombings..

There's a bit of a difference between not declaring expenses on some f*cking buses and blowing up kids.
