Danish striker Cornelius became the first of three club record signings made by Cardiff in the 2013 summer transfer window, comfortably the least successful of the trio and arguably one of the worst pound-for-pound signings in the club's history.
He left the Welsh capital having failed to score in 11 appearances for the club, re-joining former club Copenhagen in January after just seven sorry months in Cardiff.
Cornelius fared much better in his homeland, netting five times in 13 appearances in the Danish capital.
He continued to improve with his home club and scored an even more impressive 15 goals in 38 appearances last season, a run that earned him a move to Serie A side Atalanta ahead of the 2017-18 season.
