Cardiff City want to sign Rotherham United striker Danny Ward, according to respected journalist Alan Nixon.
Ward has had a close relationships with Cardiff City manager Neil Warnock in the past and would jump at the chance to sign for the Welsh outfit.
The 26-year-old striker was the stand out player for the Millers last season as they endured a miserable season and suffered relegation back to League One.
However, Ward’s form was good enough to turn plenty of heads in the Championship, including that of Cardiff manager Neil Warnock, and the former Sheffield United and Crystal Palace manager will be hoping to sign Ward during the summer window.
Ward joined Rotherham from Huddersfield Town back in 2015, and has gone on to make a name for himself for the Millers, scoring a number of important goals and going on to make around 100 appearances for the Yorkshire club.
However, the relegation to League One for the Millers could cost them their star man, and Cardiff now want to swoop to add the striker to their ranks after enjoying a resurgence under Neil Warnock’s leadership in the second half of last season.
